  1. Crossing your tracks has always been a rule. Though nowadays it`s generally stretched to one wheel. New riders have always wanted to do loops. Doing loops is generally going backwards in a section to gain advantage. I am so sick of rule changes. The original rules were the easiest. And the FIM almost got it right with the new rules, except they called it no stop. So everyone is confused by a hesitation. I say go for a free for all in the sections. 60 seconds and count every single point. Anyone could then score a section.
  2. First time I saw the water trick was when a former (Tommi)World Champion took a brand new bike out of the box. First thing he did after starting was the water trick. I have been using it ever since.
  3. Would not hurt to try the 48 with the 3.5 slide. Our fuel is much different than the UK.
  4. I would send you to Snell`s website, but seems to be some form of conflict. Too bad Gas Gas never published any good info on there own bikes. Come to think about it, Gas Gas would have failed much sooner if it weren`t for the internet and great sites such as this!
  5. Do you actually ride in a club? Third is very wrong in most sections. Beta`s always had a low first, I always used a 10t counter shaft sprocket. Usually rode most sections in second, gave it a good low gear for tight, tight sections with a useable third for climbs and large splatters.
  6. Biggest thing is a clean carb. Second thing would be a 9 tooth counter shaft sprocket to make it easy as possible!
  7. Spherical bearings in the shock.
  8. Save yourself. Just go to sleep holding her hand. The hospital wants to wait till the first shift in the morning. Usually 8-10!
  9. When it matters, its in the separate zip pouch of my fanny pack in the middle of my emergency paper. At an event I have a hide a key on my vehicle, so I don`t sweat it much. I hide it with my wallet.
  10. I would not waste my time putting in crap plugs. Your knock is probably caused by a lean condition. Mainly your pilot jet needs to be a 48 or 50.

    Improve Power

Big Owl. Location, elevation and what are you looking to gain. What year Rev.
  12. So which slide was used with the 48 pilot? By the way float height is very critical with this carb.
  13. You can always use the rear brake to lift the front when there is no room and little traction.
  14. I`m not in the loop. The new owners or whatever just screwed the pooch. Jim has helped more Gas Gas riders world wide more than any single person. His website contained more info than anyone else even combining all others. He also had one of the best inventory of parts. Hope this gets worked out soon for the sake of Gas Gas owners. I see a TRS in my future. Thanks Jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  15. My son played with one last Sunday and said the same thing. What power. (Still too heavy)
  16. Try a 46 or 48 pilot. You never mentioned location, elevation or main jet.
  17. Is there a kick start stop that could be bent up causing this. I seem to remember an odd piece fitted around the frame foot peg location on the USA model.
  18. If the primary side seal went, it would look like a mosquito fogger. Not just a little oil.
  19. Plug should not be bone dry after laying it on it`s side letting fuel into the cylinder. It should prime it to start right up. You do understand the choke should be straight up.
