  1. When it matters, its in the separate zip pouch of my fanny pack in the middle of my emergency paper. At an event I have a hide a key on my vehicle, so I don`t sweat it much. I hide it with my wallet.
  2. I would not waste my time putting in crap plugs. Your knock is probably caused by a lean condition. Mainly your pilot jet needs to be a 48 or 50.

    Improve Power

Big Owl. Location, elevation and what are you looking to gain. What year Rev.
  4. So which slide was used with the 48 pilot? By the way float height is very critical with this carb.
  5. You can always use the rear brake to lift the front when there is no room and little traction.
  6. I`m not in the loop. The new owners or whatever just screwed the pooch. Jim has helped more Gas Gas riders world wide more than any single person. His website contained more info than anyone else even combining all others. He also had one of the best inventory of parts. Hope this gets worked out soon for the sake of Gas Gas owners. I see a TRS in my future. Thanks Jim!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. My son played with one last Sunday and said the same thing. What power. (Still too heavy)
  8. Try a 46 or 48 pilot. You never mentioned location, elevation or main jet.
  9. Is there a kick start stop that could be bent up causing this. I seem to remember an odd piece fitted around the frame foot peg location on the USA model.
  10. If the primary side seal went, it would look like a mosquito fogger. Not just a little oil.
  11. Plug should not be bone dry after laying it on it`s side letting fuel into the cylinder. It should prime it to start right up. You do understand the choke should be straight up.

    Clutch!

You can grind the push pin down to get a sweet spot just for you. That`s the pin that actually pushes on the m/c piston.
  13. Go read the Montesa forum. I`ll take a Dellorto.
  14. Happens this way on most bikes. I can`t complain as mine lasted ten years.
  15. I believe it has an adjustable cable. You might see if it is actually working. I have seen the starters get wobbly, but never broke.

    2016 St 250

I`d by the Scorpa. The new Sherco looks like an old bike. The Scorpa just is more eye appealing for the same bike.
  17. The factory has nothing to do with your riding preferences. Some like a high Idle so they don`t stall, some like it to just barely keep running. The only bikes that really need to care about idle speed are the one`s with fuel injection.
  18. I cannot stand anti lock brakes on cars or trucks. Very dangerous on the roads I drive. It`s a bad decision forcing them on smaller machines. Even worse if it ever get`s into off road bikes!
  19. If the slave was sticking, you would probably not be able to push it back. But it is easy to take apart and see. You could also have a bent push rod or stuck ball bearing. Anything is possible but you start with basics. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lh3pm3z7CdY

    Beta Techno 352?

From an article on the net. The Beta Techno has some championship success with a Britiain, Dougie Lampkin who won the number-one spot in the 1997 World Trials Championship on an Italian-made Beta Techno 250 that had been modified specifically for him. The Technos made for Lampkin, was increased to 272 cc, with an output of 30 hp. To suit his riding style, the engine has been shifted forward slightly from the standard placement, putting more weight on the front wheel.

    Beta Techno 352?

The 250 piston was 72.5mm. Beta did not have a bigger piston till early 1998. The early `98`s were all 250`s. They were late having the bigger top end and sent it out `free` to those that had ordered the 280. I was lucky enough to get one.
  22. I`d start with removing the flywheel cover, and spray it with wd 40. Change the plug. Give it another go.
