  1. You might remove the silencer and see how it runs before jumping to conclusions. A plugged up exhaust is very similar.

  3. If you watch the film, they are adjusting out the free play which would help eliminate clutch drag. Them some bright fella`s over there!

  5. Sure it`s sad trials riders have to change to follow the money. But every time I hear this, it gives me a good chuckle. All those years people thought we were a bunch of sissy trials riders. Truth be known most of the guy`s riding the fast bikes never really learned to ride the hard stuff!
  6. Shipped, inside the Christmas wrap!
  7. http://trialstribulations.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3_56&products_id=257or I might have one laying around in my van! I did have one in my box, had a little rust so not perfect. Just PM your address if you want it.
  8. So did you try another dealer yet!!!
  9. RYP shows an RQ pedal.https://secure.rypusa.com/prodpage.cfm?cat_selected=220&product_selected=551&startrow=25\ It`s actually a threaded bushing. It`s the same for all evo`s. The one for a Rev 3 will work too as it`s the same size bearing.
  10. Back to what I would buy, the 300 rr Montesa is the sexiest looking trials bike ever! I always disliked the 4RT, but that sure would turn heads. If you live at sea level, buy a 200 Beta if you want to learn to ride well. Buy the 300 Monty if you want to look like a super man!
  11. Sounds to me like the water was low before your ride. Go ride it and keep on eye on the fan. When you think it`s hot and the fan is not running, give it a spin with a finger. Sometimes this happens when the fan is starting to go. Or you might jump the two thermo wires together just to make sure you have no other issue.
  12. The tank looks great!!! I also like the front brake. That was done in such a short time, I luv it.
  13. Most clubs always have 5% doing most of the work. Thank them, or step up to help/replace them!
  14. Yes, the `95 started with water cooled cases and then Gas Gas came out with a Base Gasket Kit to block the water to the cases. Trouble is communication was not very good back then (Is it now?) and not all owners got the parts necessary to fix the corrosion issue. Telling someone their new bike was going to rot away quickly probably was not a priority.
  15. He is not going to answer as it`s been 2.5 years. Kawasaki parts are not going to work. Ask for help and location and you will get real advice.
  16. I believe you need to take them apart. They come apart very easily if I`m thinking of the right bike. The whole fork seal cup comes apart.(It just unscrews by hand) The problem is the first batch of bikes (I`m guessing here) took 38X48 seals. And then they came out with 38 X 50 seals and the whole cup was changed. Some bikes got the new parts warranted and some did not. I think the original was red wipers and the new one`s were green. I`m sure it was the `95`s as I remember at the first national it was quite entertaining. GasGas had a line of bikes replacing the fork seal cups, and the Fantic Importer had a line of bikes replacing the intake manifolds on the early Sections! The early 95 250`s were quite a problem, now that I think about them. That was the year Gas Gas tried to water cool the center cases! All kinds of corrosion and expense!
  17. Being they come standard on most bikes this year, you would hope fitment is not an issue. Mine is working well on my old pro, will see how it goes when I mount one on my son`s Sherco with the newer rim.
  18. If you ride the easy line, you can remove two springs. In the real world of trials, it will slip. This thread is about drag, not an easy pull.
  19. Right now they are getting ready for the indoor series.
  20. Our club has always had a lot of Montesa riders. Many have tried the bike and moved on to mainly Beta`s. We still have quite a few 4RT die hards. The bike is fun to ride, but it does take some getting used to. Try to get a long test ride.

  22. First time I saw hopping was at Daytona in 1982. They had the trials race with the union `76 balls. If you listen closely to the video you can hear Dale talking in the background.
  23. I`ve seen plenty of the early pro`s crack the case right there, but that is a tidy little hole. Check out jim snell`s gas gas repair video`s on you tube to get the picture of how it`s supposed to go together. It is hard sometimes to get the assembly all the way in, that is what appears happened as too much shaft is exposed.
  24. Tire sizes are never very true, they can be plus or minus 10 % between brands. Kawasaki started messing with sizing when they came out with a 4.10 tire measured across the radius. It was still a 3.50 tire but made the specs look better. Just like a 5.10 tire equals a 4.50. The conversion tables are off due to many sizing differences plus the 10 % rule. Those sizing charts are for the buying public.
