In Tennessee it seemed the left side cover had a large spacer in it.
-
So have you ridden with Brent and Bruce?
-
Being an MAR lover, I say ride it. You can hardly lower it.

Sawtooth, we were not aiming an attitude to you. Good that you are looking for different techniques. But the video you picked was not close to a proper jap zap. If you watch closely he was just doing a double blip with a kicker. A rider with good technique can get as much lift without that rock! Good luck on your practice!
-
I like Zippy`s #10. Every couple of years we`ll get a new rider that will attempt everything. Until the bike breaks or the rider gets hurt. Only takes a weekend or two.
-
Okay, did you ever check the ground??!
-
Learning order should be ; Roll up (most used), double blip, zap, splatter. Then everything goes extreme with the rear wheel stuff. The splatter from pressure in a wheelie is the most fun to watch!
-
Thanks duggan! I forgot our importer told me to burn in a new clutch in forth gear. That was years ago, but still needs to be done today!
-
Here I thought it was because Narita perfected it!

I have always been paranoid about thefts. Alarms alert you after the fact unless you are home. A good video let`s you watch it. I have a locked gate and yard. Keep a trailer backed against the garage door. Only way in is just the side door which my dog is chained too. Bikes are always locked together in two`s and three`s with high strength security bars that can not be cut with bolt cutters. ( Torch or high speed grinder could work)
My wife also baby sit`s the county sheriffs son. Pity the poor thief if a call comes from my house!

No Balance has the best response. If you have not done this mod, you have missed the boat. When the ty`s were new we would toss the bracket. Just take a small piece of flat aluminum stock, About two inches long, 1/2 inch wide,3/8 in width or so. Bolt one end to the fork leg mount, tap the other end for the cable. All flex was removed.

The 550ml is for a `dry` motor, just like the factory had 750ml for the old engines.

It`s gravity that scares the sh_ _ out of you. If (when) you crash you normally have gravity on your side. On the down hills you just know that the bike is going to chase you all the way down. I always tell everyone down hills are the easiest. You and the bike will get down, maybe not on two wheels!! Biggest thing to practice on the small stuff without taking that safety dab that always pops out!
-
Actually changing brand of oil could cause a `change`. Also being new to trials, are you sure it`s not yourself hitting the rear brake?
-
Oh, I forgot to ask Ben. How is the shift shaft repair going?
-
Surveyors flagging in any color you want. Two dollars a roll, and you can carry in your pocket.
-
It depends on your terrain. I know pro riders that wear them round! If all you ride is mud and slick it is worn. Where I ride, that is just getting broke in!!

Or this.

wrong info, try this! Besides the gasser has better suspension.

Some times a splat is used to keep momentum going. So it has nothing to do with the size of wall. You need a splat to get over under cut rocks, so it just depends on how good you can zap. A really good rider can zap over 4 ft obstacles. It is fun watching the top riders as they splat everything with out much effort!

They probably were good bearings, just rusted in the crate!
-
Even if everything worked perfectly on your bike, you are comparing it to the lightest and most powerful bike. The Yamaha is an old slug in comparison, even when new in `92 it was considered slow. Yes, you need to make it work as good as it can be. Remember the front and rear need to work together.

I use Maxima 75 wt light gear oil.
