  1. Unless you were there competing or had some inside knowledge you will never get the true story of why. I enjoy your passion for trials, but you seem to come from a time that you never got a failure. (Like the all day dab) That is what was wrong with the rules. Not enough failures and too much time doing nothing. You will have lots more 5`s in no stop!!! The other problem was course set up for the rules. If they set sections that were ridden under stop and hop, now they are quite harder and could be ridiculously impossible with no-stop. I scored at Tennessee and we had a rock that was 50/50 on if you made it.(including Bou!) After I returned home I found footage of the same rock from the 2008 event. Most riders made the same rock easily with a stop and perfect set up. Now you have to take what you get on the approach. Totally different riding!
  2. On the other hand, the FIM did not set the sections. And least we forget the riders all walk the sections together on friday and can have the sections altered. So what happened?

  4. Are you sure the slide cap is tight? Sure looks loose upside down!
  5. So you have no spark when it dies? Have you checked the float bowl for fuel right away?
  6. The Fantic section Thermo was terrible. We just ran it wired on all the time!

  8. Usually slack dabs are all about body position. You need to sneak a practice night in during the week and just work on basics.
  9. I got rid of mine about 12 years ago. It was mint. Could not ride it in vintage at the time, but now it would fit our ITSA club just perfect. Luckily it`s new owner has saved it as a collector.

  13. I have a gasket in my hand. Without having one apart, I would think the two big slots would line up with the water pipe on the head.
  14. Don`t know any body with a Keihin on a Fantic. But do know that the Fantics always required larger jets! I`d guess a 125- 130 main and 48-52 pilot.
  15. Try it no choke full throttle. Check the plug again if it does not start.
  16. Beta`s have a common fault of filling up the crankcase with fuel. Plug wet?

  18. If you really believe the bowl is dry, just throw the bike on it`s side till it comes out the overflow! Then kick it.
  19. You might mention why or what you are trying to do. Disc brakes?
  20. Cheap pair of Knee/ chin guards are worth the trouble of putting on and taking off!
  21. Interesting idea. I doubt Jarvis or any top rider runs it. Not enough contact area(Too much of a radius) means less traction. Be interesting what does develop in the enduro cross world. Could trials do similar? I remember at Daytona 200 (1982) I watched with a grin as they had a trials race in the infield! It was good entertainment. The best obstacles were Phillips 66 Balls (like logs) and the handlebar banging on the car was awesome.
