  1. With all the broken pro`s out there, you would think you could find a parts bike cheap somewhere!
  2. I already know it is not Mandi`s old bike. I was referring to that model was pieced together with odd parts. Mandi`s old bike was recently changed to all red and they used TXT 50 parts to match it up. The TXT 50(TXT80) had a very similar frame as the pro.
  3. I rebuilt Mandi`s old 200 pro engine about a year and a half ago. Had to replace the shift drum as it broke into pieces. The old spark arrestor that Adrian had made was completely plugged up. I had an old txt muffler (brand new) that bolted right on with no clearance issues. So I would say the early 200 was a strange mixture of parts.
  4. Well you could always raise the footpegs a 1/2 inch or so.
  5. How about a picture of the damaged one!
  6. If it is the yamaha engined bike. The motor is an old design but very dependable. The Beta works great as well , but better parts availabilty. I would go with the Beta.
  7. Two things. Go out get the bike warm in 4 th gear and break the clutch in. Lots of revs and major clutch. Since you own a working master cylinder change it out. (from your bike) To clean out the milky oil you need to completely fill the cases with something. Do not run it that way. you cuold leave it overnight and then fill to the correct levels. Good Luck!

The pilot circuit is plugged. That usually is the problem of no idle. The pilot jet needs cleaned and/or blown out. Should not need any parts $$ if it comes apart good.
  9. It is a 7mm but has to be the 12pt.
  10. Sounds like you`ve been talking to BillyB!
  11. Riding a Beta in Itsa is like cheating! You have one that the frame is still straight? Had an `89 as my first Beta. My wife still hates me for that christmas. I put it under the tree to me from Santa! My kids loved it.
  12. Beta Techno`s also ran the Paoli`s from `96-`99. Straight out of the Paoli service manual. 360cc per leg, both 5wt. Tat is with a complete rebuild.(dry) Measurements were with the forks collapsed no spring. 125mm and 70mm.
  13. You have lumped all those forks together. They were not the same between brands and changed through the years! I`d go with Snells notes.
  14. Actually the proper way to check the shift forks is to remove them and the shaft. Put them on the shaft bachwards and they should seat exactly flush to each other. (lay flat to each other) If that came out sounding right?
  15. Is it fresh fuel? I would replace just to make sure!
  16. It may shift fine, but did you see the part of adjusting the cam? It was quite a problem on the `02`s. If you split the cases it is very easy to check the forks and shaft. The `02 had a very weak shift drum that you might consider replacing.
  17. Wrong video, you need to watch jim snell`s engine rebuild video.
  18. Did you watch the part of the video to adjust the shift cam?
  19. No if it was missing the washers it could leak. A leaking caliper is not normal.
  20. The original disc guard had washers in it. If you are missing the guard or washers the bolt could of bottomed out. When the lever is pulled it flexes and leaks. The original front brake worked fine, unless you are very talented you would not gain a thing.

What the scooter would not make the two week journey? Just rent one upon arrival. Bound to be some tiki sticks somewhere in tennessee. Great for lighting fireworks!!
  22. If you are talking about the factory marks, they are wrong. Same with the rotation marked on the cap. The level should be below the lowest mark or you will just blow it on the engine.
  23. The coolant is not ment to be full. The fluid is overfilled, so just being pushed out. The proper fill level is almost with the tank empty. Just enough to see it works fine.
  24. Jon, the parts manual shows the plates available thru 2010. So which is it? Just curious to what it is really in the newer bikes.
  25. Having a 200 myself I see why you want better brakes. I`m planning to upgrade mine in the coming months. I am just using ty mono hubs. Just because I have a few sets laying around!
