  1. Do not ride this any more. You will just cause more damage. Zippy is correct. You will need a new shift shaft assembly and I would replace the top hat, just because it makes assembly easier and at the worst gives you a spare.
  2. Quickest way to change the response is to add a tooth or two to the rear sprocket. The 200/250 Beta`s are a timid type motor. Just takes some clutch work to make it come alive.
  3. No one is going to make an 11. An 11 and 44 is the same as stock. Quit worrying about sprocket wear, unless you are riding it to work. I have ridden with a 9 on both gasser`s and Beta`s for years. (There is no reason to put a 9 on a TRS.) Quite a range from 41 to 48 easily available for the rear. being stock gearing is a little fast.
  4. There is no reason to work that hard to get to what end? No money in trials. And Bou dominates to keep his ride secured.
  5. So has anyone tried swapping carbs? If John thinks it is a fuel mixture issue, I would try another carb as Kiehin's actually have alot of problems.
  6. Practicing being stuck. LOL! I prefer positive practicing.
  7. You need to watch the Dad`s chasing the youngsters with a full backpack loaded with spare batteries. What a joke, then they want to run generators all night to charge them for Sunday!?
  8. Well pull the shock off and measure it!
  9. A lot of things exist that you would not understand. Like my ghost that f_ _ cks with me all the time.
  10. Check to see if you have fuel in the float bowl.
  11. It is probably a bad ground or broken wire. Going back to Lampkin`s is the best possible option for you. Good luck.
  12. Actually 10 and 42 is a very nice compromise. I had told my son to do this as soon as he got his 2018RR. Of course he did not listen. He finally did this a few months ago. He did it to make second more usable for large splatters as we ride at high elevation. I am guessing the previous owner first did the 9 tooth and realized it was too low.
  13. Or you just bring it up to TDC, every time you kick it. Starting in gear is harder.
  14. Yes but the top will hit the tank. LOL
  15. The older bike and you were more in sync timing wise!
  16. How long have you been riding trials and have you ever been to a World round? That is one of the reasons they are only allowed one minder anymore. The minders would cheat any chance they could. Or wait, maybe change the odds is a kinder phrase.
  17. You are the only one with this problem since everyone has the right forks. I will try to help. What size are the fork tubes OD. What year DT do you think it is and what part number did you get from all balls. PS Most seals have the size on the seal. What ya got.
  18. To be fair to the trained observers, you cannot see his foot on the ground. Everyone knew it happened. It`s like knowing a rider screwed up by the words rolling off his tongue, but you have to see it. There was no five as the bike was airborne. Now seconds later he stopped more than just a moment. That should have been a 5.
  19. More like you could put them on any brand. Newer bikes really do work better. Gear does not matter. Though it is more rider than bike. But you chose the top for comparison.

    4rt oil change

I know a rider that only changes the oil and filter once a year. He rides one event a month. Just depends how long you want to keep the bike. I prefer the change it too much approach.
  21. That groove was for a clip that held it in place on the floats.
  22. I do know they are really p****** off the die hard Gasser riders over here. Several guys were waiting for the new GP that never made it to the USA and with all the recent talk, are considering changing brands after decades of loyalty.
  23. Everything is way faster on a TRS, which is a good thing if you are a young up and coming rider.
  24. Are you sure you have enough free play. Made by getting it just right for his hands?
  25. I removed the curve pegs off my son`s TRRS and tried them on my Beta. They truly hurt my ankles. But it was a great improvement in my riding. So I bought a pair and have been riding with them for about 6 months. I got used to them right away. In fact I should buy a second set, just in case they get discontinued in the future.
