  1. Faussy brings up a great point. The jetting could of been off due to air leaks. Go to a 118 main and a 38 pilot.
  2. Pull the exhaust header off to see what damage is done to the piston. Typically you also shear the key on the flywheel.
  3. You are disassembling the dog bones and linkage to do this? My 1992 Beta zero had grease zerks. Been downhill with the bikes ever since. LOL.
  4. I hope you are just moving to a remote location with your grand kids that is just internet challenged. Be well.

    Older gas

Our fuel is crap. So I would replace it. You can always put it in a vehicle with a larger tank.
  6. So why did you bleed the brake in the first place? Nothing that hard bleeding brakes. (Just most people are not very patient) The stuck piston is an issue though. Most rear brake problems are really just worn out pads.
  7. Is it the end of the WTC series? Maybe in the near future. The two extremes should split. No loop trials and long loop trials. Hop and bop vs traditional. Sad but true.
  8. https://www.splatshop.co.uk/stator-repair-exchange-beta-99-to-02.html Out of stock, but more info. Nobody in the states are good at this stator as far as I know, the trigger is the issue. I would pull the stator and double check all bolts for corrosion. These bikes really did not have as many stator problems in the states. Most of the stator problems were from moisture issues.
  9. If it has a Kiehin, it could be crap in the tower block.

  11. You ride around for a few minutes heating up the disc and pads and throw a small bucket of water on same. You should have great brakes instantly or you have a real problem.
  12. I have seen the water trick done hundreds of times with no problems. First time I ever saw it done was by a world champion. Tying up the brakes is for air bubbles. The water trick is for pads and rotors.
  13. The bratec is the problem on some. My sons TRRS the braktechs are awesome. But my whole Braktech system sits in my trailor as spare parts.
  14. I found used parts. A good dealer can find them too.
  15. Oni nou is correct. You have to figure out if it is just crap pads and air which it could be. The M/C are not as great as they think they are. My `16 was crap, I fought it for about 6 months. Finally replaced the whole system with AJP. Just last week I went to a Nissin M/C. So far it is the best yet.
  16. It helps to use rim sealant on any tire during installation.
  17. An Evo 250 would be a better choice for your classic back ground. The 315R and Rev 3`s did not turn near as tight as these bikes were made with hopping in mind. The 250 is a nice mellow machine.
  18. Start with removing lanyard and reversing whatever you did.
  19. I am in Santa Fe NM watching my son work!
  20. You should have the best already. The S3 curve comes on the TRRS. I borrowed them off my son`s bike to try, they actually improved my riding on my Beta.
  21. I swear every time he put his helmet on, the bike seemed to gain weight too.
  22. Well, I dont recall you on the trials forum on adv. rider? A 5 year old gasser was before Torrot, so that could be part of the problem. There is plenty of Gas Gas parts in the USA. The problem is Torrot took over all operations of Gas Gas in the USA. Torrot has been short on parts. The real parts are owned by trials parts usa. AKA J.S.
  23. I ride a `16 factory 250 Beta. I have ridden all brands over the years, but always rode the Beta well. My son has a 2018 TRS 300 rr which I love, but for whatever reason I could probably have a lower score on the Beta at the end of the day. Sometimes it is not about the bling.
  24. It is possible that he is in a location without internet. This still happens more than some people think.
