  1. You are looking at splitting the cases and replacing the shift shaft assembly. Not something to do if you have never split a motor. Search Jim Snell You tube video`s.
  2. No matter 175 or not, that bike had the trail kit on it. The USA had so many unsold trials bikes they came out with the kits to help dealers get them sold to the sit down crowd. https://www.yamahaty.com/english/ty125en/ty125en.html
  3. When it does not start anymore, the starter gets stuck and when it sounds like the rod is knocking. Otherwise ride it till it blows up.
  4. https://www.splatshop.co.uk/michelin-x11-trial-comp-front-tyre.html They are still 275 - 21 even the metric marked tires. If you want the smallest front tire, that would be the Dunlap 803 GP. The ty front fender mounted to the forks, no bracket.
  5. You should order REAL trials tires. Dunlop 803 GP or Michelin competition trials tire. There is a few more brands, but not worth talking about. If you got a 3.00 Knobby on it, a trials 2.75 will fit.

    Beta 80 issues

Too much oil, needs jetted. Also you could have bad fuel.

    TLR 200 Clutch

Has it been a long time since you ran it last? The clutch plates could just be stuck. Several ways to try to cure it. Rocking it back and forth in gear. If you have a lot of room, ride it around for a while with the clutch pulled in. It should eventually give way. Sometimes a wheelie will help speed it up. Or buy a few gaskets and take it apart.
  8. So what year is it? A King Scorpian.
  9. Dexron iii or type F. I had three 2001`s in `01. All ran ATF. Loved that Blue.
  10. I am not a fan of ready mixed coolant. Total rip off, since it is at least 40% water. And water is still the best coolant. Mix it 30 % anti freeze in the summer and 50% winter.
  11. Nothing wrong with a beta 80 as a starter bike.

    Oil levels

450ml. 550 with an engine rebuild.
  13. If you want the clutch to actually hit, use ATF. Been that way now for three decades of Beta`s.
  14. Exactly. That is why I suggested to remove the lever. It is easier to bleed using a long clear hose that will reach over the bars. Good luck.
  15. Usually an o ring towards the other end. Look at other sets. Did you not have one on the old piston?
  16. Leave the bleed nipple closed and loosen the hose at the m/c and pump to see if any fluid is moving. PS, remove the lever and just use a phillips or round headed hex to pump.
  17. That might be a great suggestion for Jitsie to redesign that cover. It could be easily made to cover that area.
  18. You could make a plastic guard, but really you need to get the front up a little higher on obstacles and be more aggressive on ledges.
  19. You did put it together in nuetral? You should be able to select gears by rotating the countet shaft sprocket. When the basket is rotated backwards is it the Kick start thay is stopping it?
  20. After 40 years the rubber shrinks. Happens to most brands.
  21. Are you sure the stem is not pulling out of the lower bracket. What you are describing used to happen on the Gasser`s all the time. Which were broken. Good luck.
  22. Find a rubber boot for the air box. A sock is not going to make it run better, in fact probably worse. Reproduction. https://www.ebay.com/i/112480199125?chn=ps
  23. 650 cc of 10/30 is fine.
  24. By chance, did you adjust the idle since the repair?
