Go back and look at it again from only the initial video, not the replay. The spokes stopping does not matter, the front end was in constant motion the whole time. Just like a nose wheelie, just because the front seems to stop for a split second the rest of the bike never stops moving. And no you do not to have forward motion towards the markers, you guys are too tightly wound.

Raga never stopped, there was movement the whole time. Granted his rear tire stopped once, but his front tire kept forward motion relative to the course. I scored a section in 2013 that Raga was cleaning and Bou was failing. On Raga`s third ride, I had to give him a five, even though he thought he cleaned it. Adam ran down to me screaming, no fair, no fair. I just pointed to the marker still in the air his rear tire sent flying. Scoring is easy.

All right this came out a little confusing. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO TRAVEL FORWARD IN ANY SECTION! If the section has room, you can go all the way back to the beginning as long as you do not cross your tracks as long as you continue in motion. A lot of the World round sections are set very wide. You can use the whole thing from ribbon to ribbon. I think the UK riders might be a little confused with line of intent and the use of very narrow sections that are usually ridden. Another thing people do not understand is why the riders will go so slow that they seem like they stop again and again. They are only allowed one minder in a section. They creep along to let their poor worn out minder get to the next obstacle again and again. Here is another rule in the World Round most don`t get. In theory you can drag your foot from beginning to the end of the section and that is a one. Would be pretty hard to do, but that is a rule. Scoring with these rules is not as hard as you people with stuck in the 60`s definition of no stop. They should not of ever called in no stop, it`s more like no clock so keep some movement going. By the way I have scored in 2013 and 2017 under these rules and gladly do it again. P.S> Yes I do understand this thread is actually about a call that was politically changed by pressure. Good, bad or indifferent. It sucked for Toby.

Interestingly a certain sponsor had banners around the whole section. And the whole park for that matter. Talk about peer pressure on the scorer.

Watch all the video from the TDN and all the 2018 season. Hopping sideways is not going backwards. Same as you can turn in any direction as long as you do not cross your tracks. Been scoring long? In fact going backwards happens in modern, no stop and vintage all the time as long as the bike is going forward to go backwards.

No shift 3rd to 4th. Tear down?
10 is correct, the weld breaks away. This is always good to check before tear down. 10,11 and 12 is probably the cause. Buying the whole assembly is the easy way.

After researching this a little deeper, this is really ugly. Last section, last event of the year. This stinks on all levels.

Scorpa 2018? Yay or nay?
We have several in our club and one rider in particular has ridden much better on the Scorpa.

Nice to see the hidden marker, but from the video it does no justice for the call. So how many of you scored the last few UK World Rounds?
-
Toby Martyn
Unfortunately, if it was a marker rule there is no blue markers seen in the video at that point in the section. Any other video out there?

Hate to tell you guys, but if you think his hopping side ways on that rock was a five you are mistaken. That will not be overturned. He never stopped motion. That is the whole problem. When they went to these rules years ago they mistakenly called it no stop. It has never been no stop as you have known it. It is no motion.

Front brake wont lock on 2018 Sherco factory 300
So squeeze the brake till firm. Does it stay firm or slowly fades away? ( To the bars.) If it does it is probably the M/C.

Well you are forgetting the problem now is any mistake the timekeeper makes. The rider or minder than has to keep their own time to keep things honest. And from a scorers point of view keeping time is a pain in the ass. I have scored two World Rounds since the no stop. Much easier for me, but Sport 7 was a pain too.

Do you realize how much effort goes into just the qualifying section?

It was even better back before they started using time clocks. But all good things must end. Soon the top riders could back most of the way backwards in the section and still clean it. Soon after, too many riders were timing out of the events. Kind of got ugly.

Differences between years
There was a tech bulletin out on the `13 about that. Can`t remember the particulars. I rode 248 sections last month and only once had a missed shift. That was out on the loop. Then again I am one of the Neanderthals that have been running ATF in my Beta`s for thirty years.

Beta Evo 4t 300 first ride experience
My son just sold his 300 4T with the full Arrow exhaust. If you lust for more power and the best sounding 4 stroke, do it. His particular bike ran way better than the ones with the Beta Factory exhaust. He absolutely loved it, but moved on to a `18 TRRS Raga for the weight difference. When you hop all day it is hard to beat the TRS.

Front brake wont lock on 2018 Sherco factory 300
So are the brakes even trying to work? Are they squeaking? Or does the lever just come to the bar?

The m/c is a piece of crap. Happens quite a lot. New bike? What did the dealer say?

Trials Bike Maintenance
You better have a friend or buy a second bike. (Best way to diagnose a complicated machine is spare parts) The 4RT is the best FI trials machine. Go drop it in 4 feet of water and then tell us how great it is. Or just check out the Montesa section for a good dose of reality. Honestly it is a great bike, but until 2 strokes no longer exist not for me.

13 had the new frame. And by 16 they changed enough that it was better.

Trial GP - the good, the bad and the ugly
I am surprised how easily a country like the UK easily accepts that the world round is down to 2 loops. It has been 3 loops forever. It was hard enough with a 3 loop trials to get to the GOOD sections. Also any large event should be a full 2 days of competition.

Cooling fan issues
Yes. I have push stated on for weeks before. Just hot wired it on and pushed started and it would run all day. Just had to remember after every stop to spin it. But every pro is different in there Prooblems.
