Spare Rear Wheels
You could try approaching a sponsored gas gas rider such as dan thorpe or richard timperley and see if they are selling any spare wheels????
-
Jitsie 'lift Kit'
I have them fitted aswell, bike doesn't bottom out, and thats with 14.5 stone lurking over the back wheel. They definately make it easier for hopping and bopping, sunt is right it does alter head angle, but they are definately an improvement on standard plates.

Photos From Duluth
Apparently doug hit a 20ft rock step about the mid point, and snapped the headset on his mont, apparently his bike spun, just on the take off it was a 30 ft run up, so i'm told, so unless you ride world round style trials i wouldn't worry about your mont headset snapping.

This Weekend
Kinell, You'll struggle to get an entry for the Gerald Simpson Memorial Trial. Its a belting trial, although you could contact Angela Sunter and see if you can ride round as a backmarker, just as good as riding, although you do't figure in the results. How you feelin, post ssdt???

What Went Wrong
I don't think sending them back is fair, i stuck to the course all week, and could of quite easily nipped a few miles off, here and there. Exclusion works best, it costs a lot of money for joe Bloggs to enter the scottish and ride, so why should riders be excused for blatant cheating, when others ride the full course I will state again, it was my early day on Tuesday, and by the help of other riders around me, and a long push, i got in on time after i ran out of fuel, followed the course, and rode laggan (without looking) and the moor. So why cant others, i do agree with Kinnel and ishy's statement - give everyone a chance, but they must have some cut off point

What Went Wrong
Got to agree with you on the time thing, my diary for 04 SSDT monday, steady. Tuesday (early day) very tight, but in time. also spoke to some lads who lost time because of refuelling problems. but if there is a lad from the army stood out in the moor handing out petrol why dont you stop and get some, i was 6th man in on tuesday, and pushed across that moor, only to send a refueler up onto the moor, and then hear that lads rode past him, then ran out, and had to wait for him! wednesday, Steady thursday, tight, i lost 4 marks on time, and looked at a couple of hazards up Fersit only, rode the rest blind. Friday, tight saturday, steady. Below are a few points i think which make the trial fair in many ways, although, you will never please everyone??? 1) the luck of the ballot, to determine your early day, (rumours at the trial indicated if you are a decent rider you can phone up and whinge about your number and get it moved to later in the pack - Mr Thorpe i believe.) only a rumour though. 2) not knowing how well you are doing for time, during the day, it is the onus of the rider to make up time, when they spend time looking at the hazards, you all have a route card which indicates moor and road going 3) riders you follow, i was lucky to have the Hemmingways and Jim and Harry Lampkin around me, but also you have clubman, that can totally change the lines of the section (no disrespect to any riders, because i can do my fair share of rotivating) which can affect your result. 4) the choice of bike you ride - enough said! Anyone got any comments????
