  1. I am not aware of a diagram for this bike. What is it you need to know?
  2. It looks as though you could drop another tooth or two on the front sprocket. This may take first out of a normally usable range, yet effectively narrow the overall ratio closer to what is needed using the other gears. Sidenote- Think I recently seem someone advertising a lightweight, small Li-ion battery pack for bikes, small and powerful!
  3. There is a fellow (rider) in PA that may be able to help if need be. Let us know how you get on!
  4. It is a different year and the later forks only use springs on left side, but principal is the same.
  5. Uh , yea, not sure you are gonna do this in a lathe, I would think a mill. Gotta find a smart lad to do it! Where are you located?
  6. The grub screw holds things together and is a tension adjuster. The detent ball and spring are separate and enguage in the closed position. Grub adjustment can be sensitive, as one does not want to back off toomuch or things may come apart, as it is the retainer as well. I have used a dab of paint or blue locktite on them once set, but usually they do not move after original set.
  7. Not much to add to that quote other than insuring the mating surfaces are properly torqued up with the nut which insures the proper interference fit. This may require a proper holder for the flywheel and a torque wrench once the mating surfaces are assured good and clean. Look up moorse taper! Do not try to over drive the nut to tighten things, as you may ruin the crank threads. Spec is 100nm or 73 lb/ft as I recall, but lookup to confirm.
  8. That does look correct as best I recall, and its the "top out" spring upon full extension of the fork. Mind you, I have not had one of these apart since yours was new, thus, I have slept since then, and possibly others may confirm. Normally, there is no real reason to pull the damper rod out of the top tube on seal replacement or oil change. At least it appears your lower bearing came out of the lower unit "with" the top tube, as sometimes they come off and fall down into the lower unit and get stuck.
  9. Ok, A lot of this may depend upon just where and how it is cracked, if the seal(and outer scrubber) bore is still round and such. Any pics?
  10. I would look at the cyl and heads as well, because reguardless of ignition system, there is only a certain range you can swing the base timing. (which you could play with) After that, the programmed advance curves may differ, yet again within limits not too much I would think.
  11. Such a novel idea! You know, that may just work on a Dellorto, pressurizing the bowl vent to push some raw fuel up into the bore of the carb! Same as with leaning the bike over, but not ? Them little vent thingies are not supposed to be pointing UP though, Slicks75, as that allows water in the easy way .
  12. Livio, 150 psi sounds about right. Taking these readings can be a bit iffy! Readings may vary by the accuracy of the guage, the conditions on the day and the method. Temps and altitude can make a big swing in readings. Standard day(65f) sea level starts off at 29.92 in/hg(14.7psi) atmospheric pressure. Go to 6k ft and you will loose roughly 6 in/ hg(or 3psi)of air. Adjust for density altitude(temp change from standard). So on a hot day, you may be essentially riding at an 8-9k ft. elevation density altitude. Resulting in big loss of power!!! Take 9 away from 30 to estimate your percentage of loss on a hot day at that altitude! Almost 1/3 of your air is GONE, along with your Power! Multiply by compression ratio(which we do not know) and you will get a(ideal)result based upon no intake loss in restriction. I think they made a lot of changes in that year range to get the bikes to run on standard fuel(compression ratios, head designs) and may have changed some porting as well to tame them a bit, you would need to ck part numbers to see, I would think.

    V Force3

Don't worry too much if the seal is not perfect, as the crankcase pressure takes care of the rest!
  14. Now THAT is a Booty Call!
  15. Them girls can beat most of us!

    new bike

You wont go wrong with a 250 Sherco, an excellant Expert to clubmans bike.Loads out there so don't buy the first you see. Jeez, you gotta love these guys! Start riding a modern bike and the old Bultaco will be another shed queen!
  17. Maybe get Pat to sing and dance? Well, nevermind! Still need Lane, after Gramma sets their asses on Fire!

    sherco s3 head

That gasser 280 is a perky bike, ans the 250 Sherco probably a bit more subdued, yet Trials is a control game in the sections, and controlability can be a big asset, along with the fact I doubt you can use properly all that it has already. Add easier to ride. You want something that will launch your big brave / stupid ass, just put a 300 top kit on it and be done! Quit messing round!
  19. Ringo room party? You mean Johnny brought refreshments!!!!!! Too cool!
  20. This is what happens, Wayne,,, .............. A pilot gets home late.............. He left home about 8:30 a.m. to do some work in his hanger at the airport with his friends. On the way out the door he answered his wife's "what time will you be home?" question with "probably about 1:30, I'll have lunch at the airport." 1:30 came & went, 3:00 passed, 6:15, still not home......... Finally, at about 7:00 pm, he rolls in the driveway, and presents his wife with a pizza, and begins the apologetic story. "I finished cleaning the plane about 11:30, had lunch, and I started home, when alongside the road I saw this attractive girl with a flat tire on her car. I stopped to help, got the tire changed, and looked around for a place to wash my hands. She offered money, but I refused, so she suggested that I at least allow her to buy me a beer. She said there's a tavern just up the road, and they have a restroom, you can clean up a bit. I agreed to stop, we had a beer, then another beer, then a couple more, and I realized that this girl was not only pretty, she was very friendly, and a good companion to spend time with. Before I knew it, we were in the motel next door. And that is why I am so late getting home." His wife looked him right in the eye and said, "Don't lie to me! YOU WENT FLYING, DIDN'T YOU?"
  21. Looks to me you have a good working assortment there! This stuff is not always logical as far as cost, but still practicle. Look up Bultaco UK as well for parts, place a few calls, it is all good!
  22. I have always suspected a weakness there, might try Splatshop Chris, think I seen some metal ones!
  23. Far as I knoe, the adjuster is still on the lower left side of the shock if positioned correctly, although I do not have a '10 bike. Long skinny screwdriver past the chain and stuff does the trick on mine!
