  1. Yep, they burn out after a year or so and rally afect the running. Cut open & re-pack. Birketts (UK importer) used to offer this service.
  2. RVM, thanks for the Scott download. What an ace film, back when men had hair. Ian, I had to download this three times to get complete file. Using Opera it allows "resume download", so I assume connection was stalling before completion. It also came through at an unusually fast speed too.
  3. The fins........prob electrical gizmo.
  4. The first pic is the Alp 4 (350cc) a mid size trail bike, a bit too heavy really but not much else like it these days. The second pic is the new model Alp 200/125. Due December/Jan. Looks slimmer & more agile than the current model. It has a clip on dual seat you can remove for sections..... Current model is popular with riders for Long Distance Trials. A rider with some experience could ride easy route at club trials or the Sammy Miller series trials with not too much trouble. And there is a kit to move pegs rearward too.
  5. http://www.phototrial.it/2007/gasgas4t.html 6 speed, 24 bhp!

  7. Okay, AMCA clubs are Reigate (RRND), Horsham Riders, Bognor, Worthing, North Hants & maybe Eastbounre for their club trials. South Coast Group is also AMCA. Horsham Riders (www.hrc1.org) runs a wobbler route through the summer months, but usually not through winter as its too slippery. We have 4 or 5 saturday practice tials thought the year too. A practice trial has easy sections & you can have as many goes as you like. No licence required for AMCA events and almost all you can enter on the day.
  8. 118 main, 33 - 35 pilot, D36 needle.........need more?

  11. Pete, Yep, its always the "interzone" that gets you. I found the going easier than SSDT, but then at my last Scottish I rode day 1 in enduro mode to beat the time exclusion & that was me spent! That time was scrubbed 3 days later still irks more than a little....... Verdon's last section was luvverly! Of course I cleaned the first part and then threed the last 20ft - that last day was almost a disapointment being much shorter than previous years when we usually get to ride over the mountain ridge. However the cool wet weather was real nice after the earlier heat. And yes, I would like to see the article, Cheers, Mike H.

  14. I've added pics - an Ossa, Suzuki & a pic of Dave Thorpe's Cub - all from the Alscot trial (see start of post for link)
  15. Sometime ago I rode a 640 in the Witley LDT. Luckily on a dry day. Lowered the gearing & fitted a used trials tyre, it went well - I only lost a dab. The 640 had coventional forks - so there was a bit of steering lock, the lack of.... is the main prob with modern enduros in LDT sections.
  16. I had 5 rev-3's on the trot & not a single failure. However a few did go on other bikes in 04. And used beta's, say 3 years on or older, seem a bit vulnerable.
  17. Yes, apart from a well set up Pampera at easy trials!
  18. A few more pics added - a couple of observers bikes at the wonderful Reeth 3 day trial. A great looking bike in a superb location, eh?
  19. Well said Jordi, many thanks Richmond lads & lasses for all your efforts at the weekend. A few times I remembered I was packing camera - a few smudges are here: Reeth Pics
