Rounds 3&4 in Quebec - July 31/Aug 1st.
-
Give Steve Saunders a call - he can supply you with a stronger spring - they make a big difference
-
Hey Chewy - Thanks so much for posting your story - Great to read about events like this.
What bikes were you riding? - modern or vintage

The Mikuni is a 26mm the Keihin a 28mm - The Evo 200 works fantastic right out of the box - as mentioned above, a very much
under-rated bike, and I ride 'em all.
-
I remember seeing John Hartle at a few Cheshire Center Trials back in the 50's - I belonged to the Oswestry club, and we also rode quite a lot of events put on by the South Liverpool club - maybe some info: maybe pictures could be sourced by contacting these.
Many Road racers kept in shape by riding winter Trials, and I recall riding in a Time Trial called the Peaks ( If my memory serves me correctly) which was a real mud bath - It was won by Geoff Duke on a modified Ariel Colt. - John Hartle was a really nice guy.
-
Howdy - I'm a dealer ( as I think everybody knows) but we have sold a ton of these bikes with absolutely
no problems - so I suggest you take it back to your dealer.
-
Hi Guys - I have used a piece of old front inner tube cut to size, wrapped around the shock, then zip tied
It seems to work well and is cheap.
-
The Evo 200 is amazing - I have ridden the 250 and 290 this year, before trying the 200 and I'm really
surprised at how good it is. - I am an old rider, but think this bike would be good for many people
who get too big a bike for their ability. We were riding at 6,300ft elevation last week and it ran perfect
Stock jetting except for raising the needle one notch. - Most impressive bike I've ridden all year.
-
There are a number of Trials dealers in Ontario, and the Canadian National Championship Trial was held in
in Mansfield a couple of weeks ago - check the trialscanada.com or WEC sites for more info. - The Aprilia might be difficult
to get parts for, but TYZ stuff can still be supplied.

The 2009 WEC Canadian Trials Champion, is Stephen Foord who just moved to Canada from the UK.
"Foordy" rode his Team Outlaw Sherco 290 to wins in three of the four rounds, held in BC and Ontario.
An accomplished " All rounder" - Foordy also competes in Cross Country and Hare Scrambles events on
a Mountain MC sponsored Beta RR450.
-
Hi - No events on during that time - next Trial in Alberta is on Sept 2oth and thats about 3 hours North
of Calgary. - The new Canadian Trials Champion, Stephen Foord lives in Calgary ( he just moved out from the
UK) right now he is on route back from the final two Rounds in Ontario, but he sometimes practices
at Blackfoot Park in Calgary. Check out my daily blog for up to date info: when you arrive.
www.outlawtrials.com - I can put you in touch with the local lads.
Cheers

This subject has been debated long and often, and perhaps the best example of all riders on the same loop
same line is the Scottish - this is also none stop. - I agree that trials events can't return to how things were
"In the old days" - However, I think there is room for both types of events ( after all this is happening now)
We recently plotted a Canadian Championship with everybody on the same loop riding the same sections,
(with 4 lines for splits) - we had no complaints but it did take a lot of work and a lot of thought to get it right.
-
Although some concerns were raised regarding the 2009 rad cap - there have been no reported
problems World wide, so obviously the factory knew what they were doing. - the Steve Saunders
carbon cover does add protection. The new location for 2010 has been tested and proven by a Private
Italian Team.
-
Hi Steve - Trent Burgess lives not far from you in Nelson & he also rode the ISDE - He rides a Sherco Trials bike
There is always lots of info available via the various web-sites ( I update my blog every day)

The final event of the Series took place in Stony Plain Alberta on the June 13.14 weekend
Ex Graham Jarvis minder - Stephen Foord ( Sherco) continued his winning form, and took the Expert Class
ahead of another new UK Import Jake Cook, who has only been in Canada for a few weeks. - Third went to
local ace Chris Tronnes. - Craig (Taff) Parfitt - took the Advanced class on his Evo, - Jim Corkle won the Senior,
while David Tronnes took the Inter class, and Robert Lutastik the Novice.
-
Hey Tim - Yes it's a great area. and one we have used for about 20 years - finding lines through the same
sections for six classes proved to be quite a challenge this year, but it all worked out great.
-
The first two rounds of the new WEC Canadian Championship Trials Series were held on the May long weekend
in Summerland BC. - With 54 riders on Saturday, 55 on Sunday and 11 for the Vintage on Monday, a good time was had by all.
The winner of the Champ class on both days, was Steve Foord, who recently emigrated from the UK - Steve was well
known as a minder for both Graham Jarvis and Sam Connor. - The Sherco rider soon adapted to the Canadian terrain, and
beat out the top riders from Vancouver and the West coast. Pics and full results can be seen on www.outlawtrials.com.
-
The first round of the 2009 Outlaw Series takes place this weekend, April 4th/5th -on Vancouver Island.
The Vintage bikes will ride on Saturday, and the modern on Sunday. - Clerk of the Course Steve Fracy
has added a "C" class on the Saturday to cater for novice or Pre-65 type bikes.
-
A mate of mine had a DMW back in 1954 - it was a villiers 197 model, but another
Oswestry Club lad, rode a DMW twin in a few events - I think the engine was "Anzani" or something.
-
Now that's what I call a good report of a Trial - Info leading up to the day - great still and video clips, followed by a well
written article and results. - congrats to Pete and his crew.

-
They are a pretty good tire - a bit wider profile than the Michelin - some riders used to run a Pirrelli on the front and a Michelin on
the rear. - Andreu Codina used them and also Tommi Avhala
-
-
We had a 250 out today for the first time - bike is awesome - very light - quick throttle response - feels completely different from the Rev 3 - Nuff said . I have posted pics on my website if anybody is interested in seeing some Canadian snow. www.outlawtrials.com
-
Sounds like the pilot jet is either plugged with dirt or the plastic tube inside the tank that fits on the filter has not been modified - check www.ryp.com - Ryan Young's website - he has all the service info available. or in the UK give Rathmell's a call. - either way it's a simple fix.
-
You can buy a new needle and seat from your local Sherco dealer - it's a simple job to replace.
