  1. I would imagine it may well become a collectors in years to come, it is mint. I would never have expected twin shock Fantic to go for 2k +

    fork tubes

what fantic is it? If its a twinshock then the forks off a SWM are same. All Fantic forks are made by Marazochi. The early mono forks are the same except for disc brackets.
  3. Not much chance of making the ferry unless your No. 200+ and one of the main parts of the Manx is the presentation and social side. Book the Monday ferry and they will let you go on reserve for any earlier ferry.

Stick with the 300 seat it looks well,Modifying anthing know though would cause another repaint, e.g chopping steering lock off, tool box bracket off. A GRP tank would make it possibly better if thats possible. It just depends if you want it original or trick?

Very Nice, I agree the 200 is the best Fantic ever made, I just hope my 200 pro will be as good as my minarreli.
  6. Dot would you have any clips of my dad (Ivor Smart) in those events? Paul smart

    Fantic 300 forks

When you get them apart, you could weld a M10 rod coupler (long nut) on the top of the dampner. This will allow you to hold the dampner tight when you tighten and then undo in the future.
  8. Aquaduct Classics run a trial about once a month Border Classic run about 8 trials a year or Llangollen and District all have web sites for more info.
  9. White all the way and the frame, or Nickel the frame!
  10. Do you use a tubeless tyre or tubed tyre with the tubliss?

    Alloy kickstart

Its off a section going onto a 200 pro. Splines are knackered on kickstart but lever is good so may see if I can get new knuckle.

My new Project FM237 with a 200 top end. http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz307/Fantic-photo/19022011093.jpg http://i838.photobucket.com/albums/zz307/Fantic-photo/19022011091.jpg Is this frame the same as a 240 and will 201 engine parts be the same?
  17. I haven't got ant pics to hand but there should be a lug on the swing arm, probably bent. I welded an extra lug on mine so tensioner in sandwiched between two lugs not just hanging of one. Will try and get a photo for you if needed.
  18. I think it makes sense too, markers arent that expensive if you look on old flebay for setting out markers, only thing is they are square and I think it would be a pain to try and get an arrow to stay pointing in!
  19. You just need to check your timing and retard a little. Do a search on the forum to make sure which way, it'll only a fraction out.
  20. Did the 200 pro have a 240 frame and fantic engine instead of minarelli?

    200 Carb

I have stripped the carb and blown it clean with a compressor, changed jets making no difference, and it runs and picks up great. Think it will have to be a new dell carb. Thanks for replys

    200 Carb

I've had a problem for a while now with my 200 not ticking over, tried the obvious screwing in tick over screw! It runs mint but does not like ticking over. I've tried a different carb and it will tick over fine, so you would think the carb is worn. But even using slide and needle from worn carb will still tick over in the different carb. Possibly worn body then? Which is best oko or standard dellortro. Any body tried the cheaper oko carbs off flebay?
  23. Dont put the engine bolts in until exhaust is roughly in position, this will let the engine drop a little bit, giving you half an inch.
  24. Hi Lee I will try and sort a pic out tommorow I just cut original mounts off, flush with frame then welded new brackets about 10mm back and 5mm down. I dont get the idea of having your footrest at the same level as the skid plate, reason being when your riding your feet will occasionally be below skid plate e.g If riding over a log your toes are going to get trapped arent they? Or am I looking at this wrong?
