  2. I can't find the part ## right now but a 02-05 yz80 uses a keihn 28mm pkw
  3. how about putting a powernow in the Keihn, that carb came stock on kx80"s. The Powernow should increase the air velocity at smaller throttle openings.
  4. Move this to the GasGas thread and keep the tuning tips coming. There is a total lack of tuning information available over here. I going to regear my sons bike right away. What are you running for jetting with a Dellorto carb? Are you useing stock reeds or Boysen?
  5. Thanks for putting up the scores. Great pictures that you put up Dabs! Got any more??????????????

Have you tried adjusting the ecentric on the end of the shift shaft yet???????????

Make sure that the looped wire on the kickstarter shaft is pointed at the one oclock position or a the bolt hole for the cover screw. This spring makes the gear pull up when you kick it over. I moved the one on my bike once and it would not kick over!

Bill Markum {International Trials School} is running the Youth trials this year. He is running an event on Friday anternoon at 3pm and Saturday afternoon also at 3pm. These times are not written in stone but this is what he did in Texas at the National. If you did not preenter it cost you more. Wish we were on the way to TTc but one trip down ther a year is expensive enough See you in July
  12. if you are staying in Galvenston it's no wonder you're always late!!!!!!!! Sorry I had to do that, you mean Gainsville
  13. I have a 75 Ty 175 and it has aluminum brake arms front and rear. This is the the fourth one I have had and all they have been aluminum, I looked up the part # 434-25355-01-0o and it looks identical to the one on my bike
  14. Most Boysen reed sets come with a new mounting plate the ones for the Pro do not. All the reed mounting plates supplied by Boysen do not have reed stops[curved metal fingers that extend up behind the reeds]. I cut off the stop fingers and smooth out the area on the mounting plate with a file. I know that I'm not the only one doing this because I have had one of the bike that the US importer had ridden and he did the same thing to it.
  15. Keep us posted on your results my son also has an 03 125 pro. I have installed Boysen reeds in his bike, I don't think it makes any more power but it really makes the power smoother. I have been using Boysen reeds in all the GasGas bikes I have owned. I have them in my 02 Pro and they really help smooth out the power. I always cut the reed stops off just above the retaining screws and have never had a reed failure

Is the clutch slipping or just not engage very quickly???? My son's 50 the clutch would not engage without reving the bike up a lot. After some consultation with Jim Snell {US GG guru} I discovered that the clutch in the 50's have 3 metal plates in them, 2 thin plates and 1 plate approx. twice as thick. We replaced one of the thinner plates for one of the thicker ones and it worked perfectly, at idle the bike had no creep but give it the slightest throttle it would move. It made the bike it made the bike much easier to ride. You need to make a special tool to remove the clutch hub, a 15mm socket machined down just enough to slide down into the clutch hub. I hope that this helps it is not really that complicated to do Steve
  17. Is every one on the bench moving away from you yet??????

Daniel Levitt won the overall, Brian Roper and Daniel tied with 1 point on Sunday Daniel won because he scored his point after Brian did. Daniel was more consistant ,Friday 2nd, Sat. 2nd, Sun 1st Brian Fridat 1st, Sat. 4th, Sun 2nd The scores on the spread sheet are all shifted over one column to the right. My son finished in 5th place overall so I saw all the action first hand.

  23. I mounted the the one on my son's 125 Pro on top of the brace with the outlet pointed through the slot in the center. You can see the brake fluid level better and add fluid without removing the tank.
