  1. I agree with Telecat - the little GG's can be a tough find. You may want to have a look at an OSET 20.
  2. The Venhill brake hose is also a good option http://www.trialsuk.co.uk/products/venhill-brake-hose-txt-pro-2011-onwards
  3. I prefer the Keihin as well, but know a few riders who prefer the Dellorto. Go Figure. It may also have been that way since new. I know GG ran short of Keihins last year, and shipped several bikes sans carb - so this may have been one of them. They also ran out of Ignitions - so many have the same as the Sherco - JK? Seem to work well, as will the Dellorto. Enjoy the bike - they are awesome. GG can be like a box of Cracker- Jacks. You never know what the special prize will be when you open the box...........
  4. YES - The thin black hoses on the 12 Raga suck. Many came routed wrong from the factory as well and can interfere with the swingarm if not setup right. They will not be using them on the 13 factory's.
  5. Should have a Keihin - weird. The 12 rear brake hoses are crap. Get one for a 2011. Other than that - great bikes.
  6. What IS the best beer? ---- Cold would be my answer.
  7. Ben - Its best to drop the TXT nomenclature as it used by both the "Edition" and "Pro" lines so doesn't specify either. I dont know Why GG did that, but they do strange things in marketing and logic doesnt always apply. (It doesnt in my case either and probably explains why I like the bikes so much ) All large bore (250,280,300) "pro" cylinders will will fit Pro cases - they are the same except for Bore. You would of course need a different piston and head insert and new head O-rings. You should also check the squish after the swap and determine the correct base gasket thickness. If in doubt, always go too thick. JSE has some good tech articles on the subject. The "Edition" type cylinder will not fit "pro" cases. Also - 250 Pistons come in different sizes or oversizes -. A,B,C are all slightly bigger than the next - so you would have to check the piston you have for proper fit regardless of it being a 250 piston and 250 jug. (nothing is simple is it...)
  8. Both great bikes - but very different. As others correctly suggest, You really need to ride them and decide for yourself. The good news is that you really cant go wrong with either one.
  9. Have you tried a Keihin based GG? Very well sorted setups available - including intake manifolds. Smooths out the bottom and adds more on top.
  10. Andy - Looking at your photos from the event, I have to compliment you. They're all excellent. Whatever fill flash setup your using is very natural yet adds nice pop. Maybe you care to share some tricks?
  11. FYI - your 2012 results are still linked to the live results day results pdf's. Very confusing until you realize it was last year.
  12. seem to run small as well
  13. We always joke that the reserve capacity of a GG is just far enough to get out of sight.
  14. The easiest thing to check aside from new gas is to check the fuel screw (Assuming Dellorto PHBL) setting is rich enough. Too lean and this can cause a knock on the "backside" of the blip - but will usually happen under load like at the top of a hill climb when you chop the throttle. If this is a new noise, then change the gas and clean the carb if that doesnt work. Like the others say - partially clogged jets, Octane, incorrect Jetting, Float height, Carbon buildup, and poor fuel flow can all cause this. Hard to accurately diagnose w/o hearing it. GG's do like there Octane though.
  15. Yes - Full lock is only the goal. Start out where you are and improve it by moving in the boundaries over time. Keep at it and you'll get there. Bike leans - rider stays centered while weighting outside peg. Get a Ryan Young video ASAP! White throttle tube = fast turn blk tube is "slow" or high resoluton.
  16. I think Digger is right. Why is everything a TxT with GG? Is there some spanish translation im missing.
  17. Sounds like you are off to a pretty good start. Most people just want to go hit stuff rather than trying to build there control and precision. One simple technique to practice is full lock figure eights. Get some cones and make some boundaries for yourself and keep moving them in until you can go full lock to full lock and ride a repeatable and smooth path. There are many variations of this drill as well. I like to introduce a figure eight on a progressively steeper side hill as riders progress (A good warmup drill anyone in the novice ranks as well) Clutchless and one handed figure 8's can be interesting as well. I highly recommend a slow turn throttle on the 328. I call them high resolution throttles as that what it really provides. Good luck and keep it up. Peg time spent practicing precision and control will pay dividends in all trials sections.
  18. I think the difference is that 99% of stop allowed advocates would probably suggest its much more subjective to call a momentary stop than a total change of direction. To your point, that's not easy either and we have had confrontations and arguments in stop allowed. However, the logical conclusion should therefore be to reduce subjectiveness regardless of anyone's style bias. Somehow we end up with the opposite. Definitely not your fault though Woody. I think the vast majority of top riders have been very vocal in their disagreement of this change. The 2013 FIM trials comp committee voted to keep it stop allowed. All was overturned behind closed doors and then never substantiated with anything official from those MFG's who were "supposedly" driving it. So I agree with you, until the FIM can adopt a transparent process to invoke changes, they won't find the answer that serves the sport best.
  19. I dont think watching a rider creep at the "just above a stop" speed through large portions of the section delivers much on the wildly oversold "makes it more dynamic" no-stop promise. Back when they had a time limit, it was alot more fun watching them motocross their way through the "easy" parts of the section to buy themselves time for proper setup at the more spectacular hits. They would get faster and faster throughout the day and usually throw in some very stylish moves. Beats the hell out of this creeping stuff where 1/2 the people in the crowd think they stopped momentarily in several spots. I agree there were some subjective rules that allow for scoring inconsistencies in stop allowed. I disagree that's a good argument in support of allowing more subjective rules in no-stop. I would not want to be a checker, and if this keeps up, will not be much of a spectator either.
  20. Does anyone know why its not called a Raga Replica anymore?
  21. Whatever happened to the Mag cases? Do they really need to take more weight from the tripple clamps? The new Rad/Head setup looks cool.... 751 is alot of bikes!
  22. laser1

    New Rear Pads

Everyone I know that has tried the Jitsie RACE pads, really likes the added performance.
  23. With the two piece head on your bike, you can go either way. I would argue the insert is slightly easier to install and a bit more flexible, but not a big deal. Many folks LOVE the FWW on the 300 - but its a personal preference type of thing.
  24. The Que problems are very easy to fix with minor changes to the current rules. Not everyone has dozens of stream beds to ride in or allowed to for that matter if we did. Yet - lets change the rules to ones that we all know will create all sorts of problems scoring. Maybe the reason is that it helps one big manufacturer that owns the FIM and has a long history of trying to stack the deck. (remember - the FIM Trials committee decision was ignored and the FIM big wigs made up their own changes)
