Is it for the SWM ?
Might have been registered before, easiest way is to take the bike to DVLA for inspection.
My SWM has the age stamped on the plate at the steering head, however DVLA will not accept that for some reason.
I got the old reg number back for a bargain

Electrics generally reliable, I would try another condensor. (I use one from a VW mounted at the coil)
Coils can also fail with your symptoms.

As the man says, if the air filter is not oiled correctly it will effect carburation.

As above, Rotax motors tend to be a bit noisy anyway. Had the same piston in for 20+ years (2stroke at 32:1)
was still running fine until it was stolen from my trailer. (got it back and running fine having been seized by the thieving w*nkers)

I see there were a couple of Aprilia's in the results, could you tell me what models they were please.
Only ever saw one twin shock Aprilia which had a Hiro engine (I think)
