Someone will give you the definate answer, but the oil would tend to be forced to the back by forward motion, so that sounds more likely.

I go for a ballanced diet - a pie in each hand.

My Bultaco certainly had a cable operated brake, but it also had a gear shaft that went right throught the engine so you could had the gear lever on either side.
First thing I did was to get rid of the cable and put the gear lever on the right as the cable brake didn't have the same feel, its routing was the probem.
PersonalyI would learn to live with it.

A Hurricane/Spitfire (cant remember which has round and which has square wing tips) just flew over the house going to East Fortune for the air show this weekend.
East Lothian and had Fife had numerous airfields to protect the Forth Bridge and Rosyth Dockyards etc. There was also a hidden air field that was disguised as a road near Haddington, where aircraft were assembled from kits and flown out to wherever. East Fortune has an aircraft museum which includes a Concord and a cutaway sleeve valved radial engine that will rotate, and a cuttaway Merlin engine. Worth a visit if your that way inclined.

Always best to do one thing at a time.

I think this has been covered, cant remember exactly but think there was interference.

To labour the point, the similarity is geographical. Two quite different events, different rider profile, very different bikes (though your BMW may qualify) different perspective.

Sorry, didnt notice the reference to the change in start arrangements regarding the Pre 65, where was it ?
-
There's been a lot of discussion regarding moving the start of the SSDT, most at present, want to stay as is.
The start of the Pre 65 Scottish was ALWAYS at the old school, which has now been replaced by allweather football pitches (or something)
Not a word, didn't affect the trial or atmostphere as far as I could detect, so the question is -
Why would a move (admittely further) make such a differance ?
Covered parking might encourage more traders to set up stalls and add to the hussel and bussel which seems to have been missing.
Just a thought.
