    Oil leak

I think there should be a felt seal on the sprocket side. Thinner oils and higher temps will exaggerate the problem.
  2. Can you not achieve the desired gearing with a few more teeth on the rear ? More flywheel would slow the engine response ?
  3. You sound a nice person ....
  4. Is the air filter properly oiled ?

    349 prices

Upped the gearing, they were good for 70mph in standard form ......
  6. Not jgas specifically, but some get leavers require a wedge (plain screwdriver) tapped in to open them slightly to fit.
  7. The condensor/capacitor in the picture is damaged, if you didn't do the damage, this is probably your problem.
  8. Volkswagen 👍 12v is fine.
  9. Check the part number for points as I wouldn't be surprised if several models used the same ones. Move the condensor and mount it by the coil (I use vw ones)
  10. Change the condensor, points and plug and try again .

  12. A correctly designed expansion chamber, with long front pipe and absorption type silencer can be very effective. Excellent low power and acceptable noise level.
  13. The lower forks appear to be maybe 3 pieces ? ie heavily modified so the original spec may not be to relevant.
  14. Pull the old one out, it should be marked on it. Or. Measure the stantion diameter, the inner diameter of the leg and go onto bultaco uk site and match the size. The depth isn't to important as you appear to have plenty space. https://www.inmotiontrials.com/?s=Fork+seals&post_type=product
  15. Some ssdt riders have a legal sized plate attached to their backpack.
  16. 5 or 6 TYZ 's entered in this year's ssdt ! (Also 2 Fantic's )

    Gerry Minshall or Ossy Byres
  19. SWMBO, the clue is transparent ! SWM bloody obviously .....
  20. I'm curious how reducing the clearance, by putting thicker plates in, can help reduce drag ?
  21. I'd consider another gori or swm, better value than many other bikes of a similar age, and still very competative. Lothian trials club have a trial this Sunday out past Gifford, worth a look of you have the time.
  22. Any bike can enter, but the classic championship is pre65, twin shocks and air cooled mono - with a and b routes. All other bikes are in separate results.
  23. I'm assuming you got that from Old Knobblies ? I heated and bent mine to suit, plus ground the frame marginally as required. I also tapped the head and fitted a decompressor to ease over tdc. This takes a huge amount of the effort out of starting.
