  1. Put a new plug in, they don't like being wet.
  2. Paul, The intention is not to clash with the Kia rounds, the Sammy Miller events tend to be further south ?
  3. Clutch slipping, as said, is "standard" Make sure you have plenty of slack in clutch cable, and readjust when started.

  5. Rive nuts would be the answer if you can face drilling holes in your exhaust ! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PROFESSIONAL-4mm-8mm-THREADED-RIVET-NUT-NUTSERT-RIVNUT-INSERT-SETTING-TOOL-NEW-/361416834381?hash=item54261f3d4d:g:6yAAAOSw5VFWLlco

  7. Hi Ken. If the dates next year coincide, the Nostalgia and Newcastleton trials make a good weekend, doable from Stranraer. Sure you would enjoy them both. Thanks for the interest. Hi Deryk, dual (suitable) routes seem to be the way forward considering the range of abilities, ages and "modifications" My preferred solution to levelling the playing field, is multiply scores by 0.75 1.0 and 1.25 depending on class. This seems to work well in Spain.
  8. The existing format of running the Pre 65 and Twin Shock Championships in tandem with modern bikes, has not been as successfull as I'm sure everyone would have hoped. Is it time for a new approach ? Maybe a stand alone Championship catering predominantly for them, run along similar line to the very successful Kia Championship. (We would have to be careful not to clash to maximise the entry.) The problem with the existing format, as I interpretat it, is too many potential riders have to make a choice between championships, and also it is very difficult to lay out suitable multi route sections. The huge success of dedicated events like the Highland 2 Day and Pre65 Scottish clearly shows there is a demand, why not expand and capitalize on it ? I would be interested in the views of the potential entry, both from Scotland and the North East/West of England where I'm guessing the bulk of the prospective riders live. Thanks Ross
  9. Is there more than one "standard" spec on a 199b ? See John Collins post :- http://www.trialscentral.com/forums/topic/32218-sherpa-t-differences/
  10. 4th on a hillclimb, on a 250 ?

    Steering Angle

1.5° will make an appreciable difference, any more and you start to have issues with clearance with exhaust / mudguard. 25hmmm longer shocks is supposed to equate to 1°. Some makes of shocks you can be lengthen, 395mm is about max before the chain starts to hit the lower part of the frame, and the brake pedal. The brake pedal can be moved down if the footrests have been moved down and back. Where do you stop ?
  12. Or Aprilia TX300, the ultimate SWM !

  20. From videos I've watched, sections seem to be much longer than UK ones. Probably feel like 40 sections !
