    The 'works' trick is a small block of wood to wedge between the fender and the rear tyre to get the fender where you want it then... Borrow the other half's hair dryer and gently play it on the gaurd - but do be carfull or you could end up with a F1 style airfoil... Paul Mac

Hey lewisallen - you'll get lots of good advice here (often differing...) but the general consensus is that 280/300's can be a bit of handful for a first time bike - best advice I've heard recently is that whatever you buy now, you'll be looking to upgrade as you get the hang of things so buying a first bike that's popular from a resale/trade in perspective has merits - That would point to a 250.     They're a form of Nylon so you should be able to get it plastic welded.

  17. The other difference was was the fuel tank - Plastics tanks were illigal in the UK at that time so the 198b UK model came with a beautiful alloy tank hand crafted to look like the poly tank. Paul Mac
