  1. I have done one. It is a bit of a pain and takes ages but it can be done. I used a dremel cutting disc to cut the back off the silencer immediately behind the seam. The old packing can then be easily removed and the new packing put back after a good cleaning. Then carefully weld the back on again
  2. Fiat racing red is very close to the original colour but RAL3020 is commonly used for powder coating
  3. Melted the plastic end cap of my silencer. Not a happy bunny
  4. Can't access the pictures
  5. I don't know where you can get one but I need one too. If you could post some pics and sizes of the bits, I may be able to make some
  6. A little less hopping and a bit more riding needed me thinks
  7. Good to see you there Ship. My scores were so bad today that I didn't even bother to hand in my score card. This was largely down to having fun.... Lots and lots of fun with my mates Trying new things and generally fooling about. From the little I saw of you, you were doing fine. You might want to consider working on slow speed control. You can do this at home by doing things like doing progressively smaller figures of 8. Also make use of the rear brake to help to control and smooth your clutch control Above all... Practice The Dabbers club is perfect for people like yourself. Have fun and enjoy it
  8. Are you going to the Dabbers trial at Santon Downham tomorrow shipdamite? If so say hello to the old fat bloke on the fantic 240. Its always nice to be able to put a face to a name
  9. Depends on the type of ground you ride on. Take a peep at what the better riders in your area are using a go for that.
  10. I don't think its very common to crack the crank cases. Are you 100% sure its the crank cases that are cracked and not a more external part of the casings ?
  11. I watched this a thought, this is a perfect example of what is wrong with this country these days. Young kids out enjoying themselves and not locked in their bedroom plugged into an xbox. Getting exercise and fresh air. Not smashing things up or causing a nuisance to anyone. I wonder how many of our problems could be solved if there were a few more places kids could still go where they could ride their bikes etc without the fear of reprimand.
  12. I shall try the evostik tomorrow. left hand tank sticker came off first wash. Right hand 2nd wash. Front mudguard sticker hanging off after 6th wash. I wash after every ride (mostly)
  13. Sorry if this has been raised before.... The stickers on my 2013 Gas Gas are already beginning to peel off. Admittedly, I use a jet-wash but i'm always careful not to blast them. Anyway, what glue would you recommend to re-stick them down ?

    Twisted 200

I've recently bought myself a 200 rear kick fantic but i'm a little concerned about the rear swinging arm which seems to be twisted so that the rear wheel does not sit vertically in the frame. I have got my hands on another swinging arm but that also seems to be twisted in the same way. Whilst its not too difficult to untwist them with a little heat but is this a common fault with the 200 ?
  16. Fantastic Andy. Surely the guy with the Fantic must know something about the cub. Just needs a little "gentle" persuasion to cough up
  17. In the In the spirit of helpful replies.... Keep both feet on the pegs when in a section
  18. I have to say... If you want to see how to do it right look no further than the North Berks boys effort with their "Super trial". There are other too. The recent one in Birmingham for example. It can be done
  19. As long as you are not going to get the bike MOT'ed as it will/should fail

  22. Sounds like the idle jet is blocked
  23. There are only 2 ways the capacity can be increased. Change or modify the crankshaft to increase the stroke, This is highly unlikely. Change the diameter of the cylinder by boring to a new size. This is probably what has been done. A common modification to the 125 was to fit a barel and piston from the 200 engine to give 156cc which was relatively easy. I could see that whilst it would be possible to open this up to 175cc I would think that at that size the cylinder would be quite thin especially near the holes where the studs pass through, The cylinder head would also need modification. Bearing this in mind, I would think the proof would be in the pudding and I would expect to see a worthwhile increase in performance over a 125 model which I always felt needed to be given some "stick" to get it going and made it hard to find grip in the mud. I'd love to have a try on this beast for myself sometime. Hope this helps
  24. I get the same problem. Im using firefox 10.0.2
  25. I think some thing must have gone wrong there but I do know someone who has one for sale if anyone is interested
