  1. Im fairly sure that its an 02 frame. No gusset at the headstock but hard to see for sure in the photos
  2. Very good quality and when I did have a problem with it, Chris was very helpful in sorting it out. Recomended !
  3. It all makes so much sense when you see the location... Wisbechistan
  4. Thanks Lee... just what I needed to know. The cylinder doesn't look as if its been replated but the piston looks too good to be original. I wonder if someone has fitted a replacement piston and mistakenly read the E for a B (easy to do when parts are dirty) when they bought the new piston. Will have to measure things tomorrow.
  5. I am in the process of restoring a 241 progress 2 and am currently rebuilding the engine. I was a little surprised to find that the piston that is fitted is stamped as a B whilst the cylinder is stamped E Obviously the two should match but can anyone tell me what figures the letters actually refer to ?
  6. Hi Graham. Ive had the bike for a while now but just getting round to looking at it. Its an amazing machine and has so much ability... On the down side. It does make you try silly theings
  7. Anyone tried any frame modifications to a MH 349 ? The footrests look like they need lowering and has anyone tried changing the headstock angle ?
  8. Did you adjust the pushrod afterwards? Sounds as if the plates aren't quite being squashed together
  9. Open the clutch adjustment inspection cover and check that the lock nut is still in place. What is the history of the problem ? Did it get worse over time or happen all of a sudden or did you inherit the problem from previous owner ?
  10. No. Just a standard bolt
  11. I always thought the 200's had electronic ignition but yours clearly has points. I think you may have the wrong coil for your bike
  12. By coincidence, I will be on holiday in Stow on the whatsit that weekend
  13. Could you PM me more details please.
  14. I am in the process of rebuilding the engine from a 240 pro. When I originally removed the flywheel cover it was half full of gearbox oil and I was unable to acertain where this had got in. Once the engine was stripped, I found that the kickstart shaft had no o ring or for that matter, no groove for the o ring to fit into. Im pretty sure this is the cause of the problem but why wouldn't the kickstart shaft have the groove ? I have looked on http://www.r2wtrials.co.uk/html_files/fantic.newarrivals.html and the shaft there is exactly the same as mine (ie. no groove) Anyone have any ideas ?
  15. I voted no but its not about saving money.
  16. It looks to me that you have a Fantic Caballero Try Bill Pye for a replacement coil

  19. Why not opperate both brake via the foot brake using an adjustable brake bias valve to control the pressure between front and rear just like the rally cars do ?
  20. Looking at the video its a 5 but i'd have probably have given a clean on the day. So easy to miss when your having to walk about to be able to see the whole section.

    Works 240

I thought the silencer looked a bit strange on a 240 on ebay recently and just put it down to a home made job but having just come across this video im not so sure. Can anyone shed any light on this ? Has some lucky person got themselves an ex works bike ? What inside that extra bit ? Look at about the 5.5 min mark
