Has any one fitted a mono swing arm to a twin shock framed bike? I am thinking about this and installing twin shocks on the mono swing arm.

Hi folks. Just wondering if anyone has ever tried fitting a wireless digital speedo to a 2 stroke. I got one but before I take it out of its packet (and loose the possibility of taking it back !), has anyone tried it or does the 2 stroke interfeer with it? Thanks.

Hi, I have a TY250 Mono and I was thinking over the winter to sort out it's gear box. Specifically the annoying false neutrals. Problem is i've not split a crankcase before and so i have no idea what i'm looking for. I'm guessing something must be worn but could anyone point me in the right direction of what? I have a manual but it doesn't cover problems due to 20 years of wear and tear! Thanks!

He guys, got the ty250 mono running. One of the things I did was cleaned up and re-greased the kick starter. But now it wont sit nicely stowed away while riding - it just creeps out. Suggestions? thanks

I want to get a flywheel puller for my ty250a. I believe it is a 27mmx1.0 left hand external thread but not for sure. Ty250 specific pullers seem to be priced 2-3 times more than any with the same threads for for example a mx, dt etc. Thanks for any input

I'm trying to remove a very stubborn flywheel from a TY mono . A previous owner appears to have destroyed the threads on the flywheel so the puller is useless. I've gently beaten it with a rubber mallet, had the heat gun on it, applied copious amount of WD40 but still no joy. Any magic tricks I'm not aware of. My only current solution is to weld the puller to the flywheel but obviously this will wreck the puller - the flywheel is already destined for the bin due to the lack of threads. The bottom end of the motor is scrap and the cases are not too good so big hammer tactics are quite acceptable - I only want to rescue the ignition system from this side of the lump…

Can anyone tell me if the flywheel threads are the same on a ty350 as the ty250a? I am attempting to remove the flywheel on the 350 and I am using the tool that fits my ty250a but can't seem to get the puller to "take" and don't want to mess up the threads.

Didn't want to twist the other flywheel topic. Does anyone know where I can get the weight (ring) for a 74/76 TY250 flywheel? I'm looking for the full width one with as much weight as I can get. I have a 1/2 width ring and it just doesn't let the engine lug down the way I would like. I have emailed Trails and Trials, UK and Speed and Sport, Inc., U.S. neither have responded to my email. I am looking at putting new footpegs on my TY 250 D; '77 or '78 I think. Are there any that will bolt on or do I have to get into welding. Thanks in advance for any help / advice. Dave

Just about to do the footrest mod to my TY Mono before I send the frame away to be painted, I know you go 'down and back a bit' but how far ? is it just a case of grinding the old hangers off and taking the new hangers to the edge of the current frame work...or do you have to 'add' a bit more metal to the frame to get the right angle ? cheers

Came from Shirts apparantly, I can only presume there from GAS GAS stock. Weld straight onto the frame, has anybody else done this mod? if so how much were the footrests?

Made some crude footrest hangers and mounted by the usual method, drill and tap upper hole and welded a nut inside frame on bottom rather than a threaded rod right through. These are temporary to experiment with position before I commit to weld on mounts. Yes I've put them well back and that may attract some critisism but I am tall and heavy with chicken legs so if I lean forward the front end won't be light. Footrests are from an enduro bike.

So, my TY250R has a leaky seepy issue with the front forks I've some fork seals in my ebay watch list and just need to know the air gap when I re fill the forks with fresh oil? Also what oil do you learned peoples use in your ty forks? All help much appreciated as I've been cleaning out the seals with a feeler blade which works well for a while though it seems the seals are past their oil holding best.
