Have any of you out there in the world ever used Sebac shocks on a trials bike ?!?

I am acutally posting this for my father who owns four greeves. Three all angelicans and a pioneer??? He rides AHMRA trials series. Either way he has an orginal 19" tire on one of the angelicans. His others were converted to 18" ers. He is trying to find a 19 incher without going to a knobby mx tire. After much surfing I am comming up with nothing. Preffereably not a cheng sheng. Any body know of 19 by 4.00's out there? Europeans do not hesitate to answer. He is located in New York. Thanks in advance --Biff

Has any one on here had a juddering clutch problem on a Seeley? I know a common mod on TLRs is to fit CR80 plates and springs, is it the same on a Seeley? Or is there another mod? Also what is usable for the swingarm main bolt? as I noticed a mates bike had the wrong one in at a trial on sunday. Has any one found an alternative, or had one made? Thanks in advance

OK, I've replaced the camchain, and cleaned and checked the tensioner - but I'm still getting the rattle, well not so much rattle but loud ticking cum rattle. Am I being paranoid, could it just be the ignition as it goes around and touches/goes past. It increases with revs etc. It's not the valves as I've checked those; besides they're more of a pitter patter. Any advice appreciated.

Hi, does anyone on here know if anyone has ever made Seeley tank cover seat units in recent years. Also I have a Wes system on my Seeley, but I was wondering if any other after mkt system fits. Thanks

I am going to MOT the Seeley, The speedo that was supplied with it when new was never fitted to the bike. I noticed in The Four Stroke Finale book the Seeley in there had a speedo fitted low down on the right hand fork. The speedo drive on my bike is on the left and the cable is long enough to bolt the speedo on the top yoke. It is one of the last bikes produced, has anyone else got the same set up ? Also does anyone know what is the closest match for the red used on the frame. Thanks in advance.

I have decided to get the Seeley out and it has still got the original tyres on so I need to change them. Just wondering what you Seeley riders are using and are happy with. I believe tubed tyres are getting harder to find in some makes and some t/ less dont work on tube rims. Thanks in advance.

I'm afraid i just have to get this frustration off my chest. I'll not mention names to avoid embarrassment to TC but.......... Decades ago I used to deal with a supplier of bits and, as often as not, they had to go back as they were either just the wrong thing or fitted so badly. Now that the management has changed I thought I would try again and have just spent a fair bit of time form filling on their website (which would not let me set up an account to save all this, though the facility to do so was ostensibly there) to get to the final point of payment and find that it is procedure to phone them with card details rather than complete the transaction electronically. …

I have tried and tried, read the manual and studied the wiring diagram but I cannot work out how to check with a multimeter when the points open. In all the books it says to connect to the black lead on the coil and any ground point. Some also say to remove the condenser wire while doing this. I have removed the condenser ready to fix it up under the tank where the heat wont affect it so much? My continuity buzzer simply buzzes constantly trying to set the ohms at different values has no effect either It looks to me from the wiring diagram that the points are grounded through one of the generator coils. What am I missing? Thanks for any help on this. Alex

Can anyone advise if it's feasible to fit a right foot brake set-up to a 159 Sherpa? If so any recommendations for suppliers of the required parts?

Has anyone used the Sammy Miller Bultaco Sherpa T Main Box Exhaust? I seen that it was aluminum and repackable. If you have used it, what kind of performance increase did you see if any? Could anyone identify the type of shocks from the picture for me. I can't find any stamps on them. Do you think they are of the repairable type or is this just not economical to do? They are fitted to my Italjet t350(later model see Italjet forum) I could do with some advice about renewing. The bike is around the 90kg mark and I am a slim 16 stone what spring rate would you advise? (I'll get the one in about lorry springs here first!!!!) Any particular make that people favour?. At the moment they are 340mm is there any advantage with putting slightly longer ones on the bike. I would like more travel in the shocks than what i have at the moment. Any sensible advice w…

In short. Are there any lists charts or web sites pages etc, that list what shocks were fitted as standard to trials bikes of various brands, and any similar info on how to ID the various makes of shocks and iding them besides the obvious looking for a name or number on them.

Hi, sorry if this subject's been covered before but can anyone advise me on the correct way to preload the shocks on a twinshocker? I have a nice new pair of Betor shocks which have preload adjusting rings but I'm only guessing at the amount of preload I use so the shocks may not be working as well as they might. Also how do you determine the shock spring rate Is this just down to feel and experience? I'm assuming if the springs are to soft it will bottom out easily, to hard and it will kick on small stuff. Looking for a cheap pair of trials shocks. The cheapest I found are $115.00 from Speed and Sport. Any one found any cheaper? This is for a bike that will be for sale soon. For a keeper I'd get the Falcons.

What should the center to center distance be for rear shocks on 348.and what was rear travel

I have been using my Fantic 240 to ride modern events on either the expert or inter route but this weekend seem to have blown the seals on both shocks. It currently has some betor experts on but I was wondering if spending more on some replacements (magicals/maxtons) they will be more likely to stand up to the abuse of bigger steps and drops than say some rockshocks? I know the rockshocks are re-buildable but in the long run do you think the higher end shocks will pay off in both strength and performance? All opinions welcome!

Got a tiger cub project I'm working on and need some shocks as the njb fitted are too soft and tired. Problem is that nobody answers the phone. I've tried Robin on numerous occasions and have got nothing. A friend suggested Rockshocks so I called them. Nothing. I've tried at different times of day too. I'd like to buy British but them betors will get the job done!!

My Cota 247 is back working again....which is a gas. Still plenty of work to do though....front wheel is buckled and I have another one turning up soon. Shockers are pretty buggered....and new chain & sprockets can't be far away. BUT most pressing problem is that it is just very VERY loud. Problem is that it doesn't have any of the original exhaust silencer beyond the fist pipe. It has got one silencer in the place of the middle box which is from a Suzuki RGV250. Looks good but to all intensive purposes is just a through pipe. I know that Dave Renham has got some original back boxes.....but this bike is anything but original and I am quite happy to build a sile…
