Twinshock

Both the TY and Cota throttle cables are a little shorter than optimal (ie. route them tidily and you get some revs at right lock - is there anywhere I can shop for cables by length? Or am I stuck using a universal cable kit? IIRC the TY250 throttle cable is longer than the 175, but I don't know be how much - it only needs one more inch

Hello out there Im in the process of restoring my Majesty. I have had the frame stripped to bare metal, but cant make up my mind about having it repainted. A couple of years ago I restored a ty175 and had the frame powder coated. This was great until I tried to rebuild it as the bolt holes and threads were all full of powder coat, also when it chips I cant touch it up. Im thinking of paintin the Majesty frame but would like some advise on what paint use, and whether this is practical as the bike will be used in trials and not just to look at. Hi guys, lately i've bought my second orange OSSA. But i recognized that the petrol tank isn't connected with the seat than the "normal" TR80's but seperate. Does anybody know, how the seat is fixed, or even has a hole picture of the bike? Because the seat and several other parts are missing! Greetz

Been looking on the www trying to find some info / photos of Fox rear shocks to fit my bultaco, think they use to make shocks for trials bikes ? If you know of any links that could help then please post them below Any info / or photos so i know what to look for or were to look would be a really big help and i would be very great full for your time. Hi folks, I would like some feedback in regards to rear shocks. I have restored a couple twin shock bikes, and I ride vintage trials. But I will be honest and say, I really don't know the difference between good shocks and bad, or what they should be doing, besides holding up the seat. Or I should say, I'm not a good enough rider to tell the difference when I try different ones. What should a good pair of shocks do on a twin shock trials bike? What is the difference between a pair of rebuilt 70's shocks and a pair of $300.00 modern shocks, designed specifically for trials? I fully understand that you get what you pay for. I have had chronic tuning problems with my 247T and spent hours on forums and decades (it feels like pulling carbie on and off, changing jets, needles ..... I recently had to replace the woodruff key got it started but it was dying for no reason at low revs and then hard to start. So I decided to pull the carb off for a routine clean and while I was at it I lowered the needle just to see what affect it would have. To my delight the needle adjustment appeared to improve my top end performance - but the cleaned carbie did not fix the dying. would like to install a 74 76 KX clutch cover on my KT 250, has anyone else done this? if so, can i use the KT clutch or do i have to swap out anything else to make it work? thanks

I'm working on a 74 Sherpa T that I recently purchased. The bike was in storage for over 10 years and was reported to be "in running order" when it was put away. But after tearing in to the motor I found she is stuck solid. The broken kick start shaft probably should have been a clue So now I need suggestions on how to get it apart to do a proper job of getting her back in order. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Hi guys, bit of back ground first... now I'm actually doing some trials with my SWM TL320 I have been playing with suspension. But coming from enduro's I've come to the conclusion that I may be out of my water a little? She has Magicals springs up front and Sammy Miller gassers up the blunt end.
