As a Dutch trial fan I have to say I'm absolutely thrilled that Zelhem is on the 2026 TrialGP calendar. It's been a long time coming for the Netherlands and the venue looks fantastic for a world championship round. For those who don't know Zelhem — it's a small village in the Achterhoek region, very rural, perfect trial terrain. The local club has done an incredible job getting this on the FIM calendar. Anyone here planning to make the trip? Would love to connect with fellow fans who are coming. I'll definitely be there covering it for my site.

In X-Trial the course clerk stands at the start of the section, gives the rider the OK to begin, and then walks away. But the countdown clock doesn't start until the bike has moved past the base of the first challenge. A manual stop watch would be too subjective and inaccurate. Is there a hidden electronic device or photo eye?

All i know is its this weekend and in spain. I cant find any info regarding teams, on any platforms or the trialgp page. Who are they? Team GB?

Well im so glad to see the FIM putting the death nail into GP trials and will the ACU follow ? why you ask well if you dont know FIM are going back in time to a time when trials nearly died off by bringing in stop reverse rules in, with only 10 riders in the GP class and world trials rounds having to go to multi class !! to get the numbers to make it worth while to run ,HOW will this help to get riders to these events its just making the gap even bigger , I Ask will the ACU follow as british championship class only 7 and out of 7, 1 rider only rode 1 event so really 6 riders, and before you say we want see riders tested ! with but who really benefits from this it will…

I catch up on X-trial on youtube usually months after the events air. I signed up for Club Jitsie thinking it had access to live events but it appears that it does not. Where are you all getting your feeds from in North America (I'm in Canada specifically)? I'd like to be able to watch as close to live as possible (live being difficult if events take place during the middle of our nighttimes!). X-Trial, Trial International, and others? Thanks!

Saw an article in todotrial that a Chinese tire manufacturer is to be the sole supplier for the WTC and it will “improve” competition by having less traction. Somebody please tell me this was an April fools joke.

Sad that Miguel Gelabert has retired from the WTC. His social media mentions health problems for which he is receiving treatment. I do wonder if there was a further problem in terms of an available ride for next year. Without personal sponsors or families paying its increasingly difficult for young riders to stay in the sport. How long has the wtc got left, it will have been a championship for 50 years if it lasts to 2025

I have seen two press releases from the Montesa HRC team. Miguel Ciera is retiring as Team Manager. Fuji takes on this role for 2022 and Gabriel Marcelli joins the team as a second rider. None of this, particularly Marcelli joining the team he has been clearly developed for, comes as a surprise, but is is more evidence that they are by far the most professional outfit in the WTC.

Information released on Thursday by ACU "It is with regret that the ACU have to announce that the British Round of the FIM Trial GP scheduled for 9/10th October in Tong, will not now take place. An unfortunate combination of circumstances have led to this decision, but it is hoped that 2022 will allow for a round to be run once again." I wonder what the "unfortunate combination of circumstances" might have been? Is Covid still having an impact? In my opinion the wording used does not come across as very professional as one would expect there are plans B, C etc to cope with unexpected eventualities. With the withdrawal / retirement of James Dabill and Jack Price from Trial GP I think that leaves only Dan Peace as a UK rider in the top level for 2021 and possibly on 10 riders overall. You'd probably assume that 1 or more of Fuji (nearly 41 ?), Raga (38) and Fajardo (35) are nearing the end in the next few seasons as well. Pretty bleak outlook for the sport at it's highest level, and don't see many Trial2 riders wanting to make the step up. What are the issues / reasons? World 125 junior champion Kieran touly has given up on trials the year after his championship win due to no funding or manufacture support from scorpa/Sherco .Bad news for the sport imo ,is this what modern day world trials has become ?an elite sport where serious backing or a large wallet is more important than talent ?

For all the close season moves it was still Bou v Raga in the final. Casales 3rd is a great result Bincaz 4th also good but Benoit better indoors and I hope he can transfer this talent outdoors this year. Busto was the guy Honda appeared to think would ultimately replace Bou. Still has time on his side but needs to start winning occasionally this year. Fajardo has not yet adapted to the sherco but still exceptional on his day. Indoor maybe not the best indicator due to extreme sections, 0 or 5 and the scoring being reset each round.

Homologation of the venue took place last Tuesday in preparation for this years British Trial GP when Josep Punti of the FIM met the organising team on site . this years event is a 3 day event , qualifying and practice on Friday 10 July , with 2 full days of trial competition on Saturday 11 July and Sunday 12 July . There will be a host of other activities running along side the Trial GP Friday evening there will be a Twinshock trial , Saturday evening the largest gathering of Oset competitors as the youngster get there chance to compete in a special round of the Oset cup, commitment from the trade has been fantastic , with Wulfsport and Oset sharing the e…

Does anyone know when the 2020 Provisional calendar becomes official ? Want to go from New Zealand to the Japanese round and would like to start planning.

Thoughts on a route between the trial 2 and trial GP class? Is the step too big for the trial 2 riders to step up to the trial GP class. upon looking at the results last year a few trials on trial 2 were won on less that 20, should there be a route between the classes to bring on the better half of trial 2 and make the step upto trial GP smaller.
