Myself and some lads from Scarborough have just got back from a long weekend in the Czech Republic watching the world round, the event was brilliant great sections and you could get real close to the action and not loads of hills like at Hawkstone, which was good for us because we had a fair bit of beer the night before so flat ground with the hang over was good. We were there to cheer on Michael Brown and Shaughan and he did not dissapoint, finished in his best position in the championship SO FAR. we might have to start going to every world round to lend our support. It appears that Dibs and Beta have decided it's not worth going to compete in Japan. Strange scenario??? I appreciate the cost implications etc but surely as No1 factory rider they (Beta) want him to represent them in a good sized market for them..

James Dabill pulled out of the Scottish to prepare for the first world championship round in Spain. Presumably he thought the wonderful Scottish sunshine wouldn't prepare him for Spanish hailstorms!

Noboby has mentioned the comments made by I think it was Sam Connor and relayed by Jack Burnicle. That is that Hawkstone was a challenging, difficult trial but UNLIKE some recent rounds he didn't feel he was risking his life doing it! Looking at the injuries in some of the preceeding rounds and the fact riders did crash out at Hawkstone but did not have the severity of the previous rounds it does look bad for the rounds concerned. Did anyboy who went feel they were that bad??? Also Watching the riders thru a couple of sections with their minders I was surprised how agitated Raga's Minders were compared to everybody else's.

Noted from the results that positions 12th,13th & 14th only managed one 3 each, 15th finisher a full house of 5,s. Still all scored world championship points!

Day 2 is up. Its was a lot harder on the 2nd day because of the rain. Section 4 gave almost everyone a 5 on the first loop which you will see in the video. Click for day 2 video

Woke up a couple of times last night and it has been raining for nearly 8 hours, a complete contrast to Saturday. Should be an interesting day!

Just reading about the new "Factory " GasGas model. Text states: "we have integrated the CDI map and light switches into a small plastic cover on each side. Looking at the pictures from Barcelona I bet it was hard to get a ticket to watch?? The place is empty and it has been said that indoor is what people want sitting in a warm arena watching the 'Dynamic' sport of trials. Looks like the WTC both Indoor & Outdoor will implode? Just booked up for the trip to Germany in September. The final last 2 day World Round., This could be the big decider? Can't wait....

I personally think its great news that Dibs will be riding a 4RT for the TRW Future Trial Team. Like Top Trial Team, TRW have a very professional set up which should hopefully take his riding to the next level.

Blimey - that came as a shock even to me and I hear most things beforehand. One thing that Dabill lacked last year was a consistent minder. He had a world round minder in the shape of Michele of Top Trial Team, who did a great job - albeit with the Italian temperament!, but a different minder for the British Championship. There was no consistency throughout the season. Although I've met Jack, I can't say I know him that well. However, I think having a consistent minder and a fellow-Brit alondside him will do Dibs the world of good. Jack just learns to eat big Macs, talk like Shaughan and not get his a*** out on camera (but we're saving that photo for a special occasion!…
