Reading Dicko's page three blurb this week he goes on about how well off road riding is doing in the UK, and finishes the topic with a question, [is off road riding ready for the big time?] I don't now about the MX & Enduro scene, but from a trials point of view I think the events like the Scot and SSDT, and Brit national events are doing well run by the clubs! who are left alone to do what they think best for the event, on the other hand the events promoted by the big euro promoters in a way they know best, look to be doing p*** poor for entries and spectator participation. So in answer to the question is off road riding ready for the big time, I just hope the bi…

If the MTB world can put up such a world class event in Swaledale, why can't Trials - for our home GP? I don't see a shortage of access, for artics and the associated Trial GP Circus Show the rest of the world, how good our 'natural' terrain and a bit of rain is

Just wondering what's going on with Dougie in the past few weeks. After a strong start to the indoor season and his total domination at Sheffield, it's as though he's just lost interest. After five years virtually unchallenged at the top of the sport both indoor and outdoor, has Raga's continuing ascendancy started to affect Dougie's usually impenetrable mental defences? It looks like more than just a dip in form... Here's hoping that he's written off the indoor series and is just looking forward to the outdoors... I'm not so sure. Are 7 world chamionships enough? I'm a huge Dougie fan and I'm NOT writing him off, but if the commitment's gone I'd rather see him retire t…

Having watched the performance of the British youth at Nigran Spain. I am optimistic that British trials has a future at World Level, post Lampkin. (when he eventually hangs up his Alpine Stars. Mind you thats a few years away and at least one more world title). I was expecting the general level of Spanish or Italian riders to be higher than the British, but it was the reverse. Imagine what it would be like if the likes of the ACU supported our youth as much as the RFME do for the Spaniards. Lastly credit most go to TC for their support.

With Sherco wallowing at the bottom of the manufacturers championship and Cabestany not getting the results he was expected. I bet Sherco are regretting not have Grimbo riding the WTC.

The start Dougie has made on the Beta is disappointing to say the least, I just watched a clip of Doug from around a year and a half ago when he was questioned about Dabbil beating him and he replied 'Is that a pig I see flying over' ! ... How things can change in a very short period of time It's not looking to good for Doug and certainly cant be good for Beta.. Any views on how this will all end ? .. will he get over it and sort his riding on the Beta ... or is this one just too much of a mountain to climb this time. Really disappointing ... perhaps he might be better off on the Beta 4 banger ? On the bright side, it shows what an awesome machine the 4rt really is .…

Whilst having the greatest respect for all the riders who will be competing in the British world round on july 31, i hope they are the one's that will be getting all the profits from the event. After visiting the web site i can't help thinking that some one is out to make money on the back of the trial, i just hope that the riders ride on a percentage basis. After all they are the one's that risk life and limb weekin weekout in persuit of there dream's. If this event will be live on BBC tv like the sport of Darts !, i would pay twice the ticket price asked. If the organisers of this event and the A.C.U. could get the TV Directors interested in this event, trials mite …
