I just watched the "Sunday" DVD from TrialsTV ,, and as one of many clear examples, Fuji , on lap one section 10 dabbed twelve times, yet he was given a score of 3. Is there some grade inflation going on here?

Right, first on all let me say, Andy will no doubt back up this post soon with front page news and far more details outlining what's going on so don't bombard me with questions about the event itself. Let me only say you're in for a big surprise and a very very special event. The reason for this post is that we are going to be running a Scott style charity auction at the Party on the Ben during this years UK rounds of the SPEA FIM Trial World Championship at Nevis Range near Fort William. I have a list of dealers that I'm soon going to be approaching for donations and Jake Miller of L+M Events is going to be speaking to the factories too so hopefully we will have some v…

Does anyone know if any of the European World Rounds are easily accessible via economy airline? I'm looking at trying to organise a lads weekend away. Hopefully funded by buying loads of cheap fags and selling them on return. ( In other words, Dabster, tobacco sponsorship is alive and kicking ).

Reading a report of the trial there seems to be a great deal of praise for the courage and determination shown by Dougie in completing day 2 of the French Round. Which was contrary to Doctors advice. He even went on the clean the section were he had his serious crash. Much to the delight of the crowd. It even describes Doug as special and not from this planet. He is special and he isn't from this planet. He's from Yorkshire. What a bloke?

TrialsUK are posting that the Carlisle Nord Vue venue has the UK World Round for next Year. Looks like Graham Jarvis and DirtBike Action the same people that did the Round at Westwood.

Just a short video of the big man himself hosting a superb auction run by Andy and the team from Trials Central at the 2010 World Trials Round held at Nevis Range in Fort William. Thousands of pounds were raised in support of childrens cancer charity. Well done all involved. Take a look HERE Roll on Nevis Range 2011...

I've got a revamped web site/blog for the Wagner Cup (USGP) up: When I was at the Trials Training Center in Tennessee last week, I videotaped Dan Brown doing a walk-through of many of the sections. Three section preview videoclips are now posted to the TrialsUSGP blog, along with a photo slideshow and misc. other stuff. Less than 3 weeks to go!

Obviously, laying on an event on the scale of Hawkstone is a massive venture and, whilst I don't know everything that's involved, I do get a good idea of the work that's needed due to working closely with Jake throughout the year. It's a mammoth task these guys take on and there are loads of people involved in making it happen. However, there is one guy who I think deserves a little bit of public recognition for the work he does as he's very much behind the scenes, but he has worked his a**e off for the past three years to make sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. Apart from his involvement in preparing the site and the sections, on "race day" he is absolutely …
