According to CEO Stephan Pierrer, KTM is looking into developing a trial bike in the next two years. I for one, am very curious what they come up with.

Hi Everyone. I had convinced myself that I wanted a Montesa 2001+. There seem to be fewer of these about though. Everything on E bay seems to be in the North. Which 250 would be good for me, coming back to trials after a very long (30 years) lay off. A guy from the forum gave me some good advice about the Montesa, and he had one for sale which I have to say tempts me.. I need to free my garage up by selling a car which currently lives in there. I was told that the Beats could be a handful, have they calmed them down in the 21st Century, could I calm it down with lower gearing and a slow throttle? I heard that second hand Gas gas can be trouble, from a build quality po…

Hi all, I now finally have a job and a wodge of cash that is burning a whole in my pocket so I am thinking of getting my wheels coloured. The rims coloured yellow with the side walls polished and the huds done in black and my spokes coloured alternately yellow and black! However please give me your opinion on this colour scheme! (My gasser is yellow by the way)! Also, what do you think the best coatings would be? Anodizing for the rims, powdercoat for the hubs and spokes? I would prefer them to be able to do the wheel building but dont mind seeking a wheel builder if I have to. I would just like some advice on where I might be able to get this done and what you thi…

Sadly whilst practicing last friday I snapped my anterior crucia ligament and damaged the knee in general. Knee is like a balloon and I am non weight bearing. Surgery will be once the swelling has gone down. Was just wondering if anybody else has done the same and how soon did they return to trials afterwards, if they did at all ? Also what sort of knee braces do people use ?

Hi all, i am contemplating treating myself to a pair of xc-ting neoprene gloves for christmas, cos i am fed up with soggy gloves on cold wet days. I was wondering if any of you have tried them, and, in particular whether the extra thickness (i presume) of the material causes much less feel at the bars/levers. I also presume (Doing a lot of presuming here!!) that they will be a bit more protective against gorse bushes and the like. Any feedback appreciated.

Most of you must have seen the new video by Danny MacAskill - The Ridge - so in just a week, it has over 11 Million views on YouTube and rising fast. Yet I have looked around YouTube and cannot find even 1 video of either Toni or Dougie that has made even a million views ... Dougie Lampkin - Dougie Does Red Bull Racing 786,000 views is the largest one I could find.. and its 1 years old - Professionally done and connected with F1.. Toni Bou - The Best of Toni Bou 2007 - 986,000 views and that's been up since 2008 So why is this I wonder? I have my views but it would be great to have an open discussion about it .... Disclaimer : I didn't look too hard on YouTube and …

I am still amazed by the amount of bike enthusiasts that get this wrong......even bike dealers, importers etc etc. FACT: SMALLER FRONT SPROCKET: bike will have more power/acceleration low down and less top speed. Gears will feel shorter as revs will climb quicker. LARGER FRONT SPROCKET: Bike will accelerate slower but will have a higher top speed. Gears will be longer as revs take more time to pick up. SMALLER REAR SPROCKET: bike will have more top speed but will accelerate slower. LARGER REAR SPROCKET: bike will loose top end speed but will gain acceleration. Please argue with me on this.........! It amazes me that there are some pretty clued up guys out there th…

Dear users of the internet... it's your lucky day! I've decided a quorum of people I've never met should pick my next bike, since I can't quite make up my mind (note: insert internet sarcasm here) What'll it be: a Factory EVO 250 or a TRS (displacement unknown)? Pros Beta: lots of bling, proven package, I've had one before and they go forever, pretty easy to work on, familiar and italiano! come io! TRS: new(!), no paint (it all gets rubbed off anyway, so why bother), looks even easier to work on in terms of access. Cons Beta - clutch issues (clutch fix) TRS - unproven

So heres a weird one for you all, I ride trials on my Gas Gas TXT Pro 200, but only one of the guys I ride with is on a trials bike (Sherco 125) We have both started riding some enduro and singletrack with some other guys we know who are on enduro and motocross bikes. Our bikes are coping fine with the terrain and we are both really enjoying it, but I have to say, after a few hours (and refuels lol) im getting sore from standing, it would be nice to have a removable seat so I can still compete in trials, yet be able to do some light trail riding on the side. Is there anything that would cover this? or will I have to make something. I have seen the Jitsie seat but it …

Apparently there is a new video game coming out for the xbox. They think that a motorcross bike is the optimal machine for the job. They got my crashes and flaming death down too.... hahahahah Xbox live trials game. The trailer looks awesome. Too bad I don't have time for video games lately (stupid auto economy) --Biff
