Hi, I was just wondering if any decisions had been made with regards to the scott trial due to the pure length of time it must take to set out and how long programmes take to be made as to whether it will be on due to this risk of foot and mouth?

As I have already found out through a previous thread, a majority of peeps on here don't want to pay any money towards youth development so instead of collecting trophies etc, could they not receive money to help them finance their fledging careers. Or fuel tokens or something along those lines. Anything that will help ease the cost to the families? what do you think?

Hello, I'm new on Trials Central ( But was on Trials Action a few years back ) . I just need a bit of info on how to go about riding in trials in the Midlands and surrounding areas. Left an Email with the ACU in the Midlands centre but no reply ? If anyone knows who to contact please let me know ?! Is there a list of places to practice on Trials Central anywhere ? I have a few wicked places to practice on my doorstep but I need a bit of variation ! Also is Hawks Nest in Buxton still open to bikes ? Thanks JonH

There is some discussion at the moment concerning the practice of allowing riders to ask for a 'five' rather than attempt a section. Some organisers think that failing to make a genuine attempt at a section should be punished with more than five marks. I personally think that providing a rider asks for a five in person, then this is fine. What do others think? Should we be 'encouraged' to ride every section?

  14. Started by Andy,

That's me just home from the Scott. Results won't be online till much, much later - possibly not till tomorrow, but what I can tell... Dougie's bike packed up early on so he's out of the running. Dabill was first back followed by Grimbo then Fuji. Don't know which of them set standard time, but it will come down to penalties. Photos online later

Thanks to Mr Burnicle (who admitted he'd been doing the same!) - it's pronounced "Day-bill", not "Da-bill".

First round of the 2005 Welsh Championship coming up soon - 6th February, starting at the Royal Welsh Showground - Builth Wells. Closing date for entries is 3rd February. Regs available from Graham Evans (01686 625010), but he's away for a while before the event, so please feel free to spread the regs around. If you're feeling generous enough, please download the regs below, and print a few copies off for your local lads, or just point them in the direction of TrialsCentral or www.trialspace.co.uk. For those just over the border, remember it's open to allcomers, whether you qualify for championship points or not. ACU_Trials_Regs_Rd1_2005.pdf

Now without wishing to be defeatisit I really don't see the British team winning this year, not against Bou, Raga, Caby and co, so should the ACU team selectors think forward? I respectfully suggest Dibs is a definate but surely there must be a case for Michael Brown to be included as one of the four? By the time the TDN comes round he will have won the Junior title and (guessing here) will have competed in a couple of WTC top routes by then as well, just like dibs did (in 05?). So that would leave two places for more experienced riders to show the younger riders the way. Which two is up to others. Before anyone suggests it there is no hidden agenda here just think it…
