Does any one know where I can obtain an upto date noddy guide style copy of the rules? Something with pictures so that a person new to the sport could use is to allow them to be fully aware of the system when observing.

I've been riding on some land in Cumbria for 4 years now with permission from the landowner, who I have riden with a number of times. The land however is a public right of way and I got pulled by a Police officer the other day whilst riding and he "Strongly" advised me to get the bike insured. He said that if I had been riding irresponsibly or where there were a number of people he would have nicked me!!!!!!!!! I have seen Police officers on the land before and they have not botherd one bit. So the question..... Do I need to be insured on this private land????? I was told that I didn't need it but now I have my doubts and will register the bike and get it insured if…

Hi all, Relatively clear skies and a hot'ish (for Scotland) 17deg. Sunday was definitely going to be a great weather day for some trials practise. My mates and I hit the hill and immediately got stuck into our warm-up section. 30minutes in and my Mont's mudguard was flapping like a good 'un, the single bolt at the front of the seat had gone! So it was arrrgghh!!!, as I noticed my nice new tools bag had all the right tools, even brake fluid and a puncture repair kit for goodness sake.....but any spare nuts and bolts - NOT A ONE! After walking around eyes glued to the ground for 15 minutes - Nothing! So, stuck the keys to the van down my boot and rode the 10 minutes to …

Jings!, I finally made it to a local trial......that's two in two weekends! I spotted Andy's car embedded in the mud in the car park (did you have to get a push out Andy?)....then spotted the man himself at section 1 awaiting the bikes. I took a few shots with my point and shoot.

Thinking of buying a small van in the future, just big enough for 1 bike and riding gear. I am 99% sure that you can get a bike in the following vans but wondered if anyone had used one and how easy they are to strap down. Peugeot partner/Ciroen Berlingo, Renault Kangoo, Vw Caddy. Cheers Doogle

Well done to Graham Finnie and Kevin Dignan and all their helpers in Skye on Sunday on what had to be the worst trials weather in years. It was hard lines on the organisers and if the weather had even slowed to a monsson the day ,im sure , would have been 100% successful. As it was there was a high attrition rate and huge credit must go to all who finished especially the A,B,&C class schoolboys. Well done as well to all Lochaber riders and parents and congrats to all award winners. Keep it going I.O.S.MMC but lets have the next one in the winter it might be drier
