Thanks to Mr Burnicle (who admitted he'd been doing the same!) - it's pronounced "Day-bill", not "Da-bill".

Following This Thread on trials clubs getting observers, it begs the question, What is a Trials Club?? I ask the question as I dont see it currently as a club due to the way the centres work!!! My club is in the Midlands Centre so if I ride in the Mid Wales Centre I have to join one of their clubs to ride in that centre.. and so forth around the country. I believe getting people interested in one specific club is somewhat hindered because of this. I would like to see someone be able to join 'ONE' club and ride anywhere in the country under that clubs name, the purpose being to get brand loyalty. This would make people want to get more involved if they felt part of…

Ok this week end 29/05/11 is the Barrett help for heroes trial. Run as a traditional type trial using no stop rule at a fantastic venue in the Cotswolds. There will be 2 routes one being nice and easy suitable for complete novice riders and trail bikes, the other being normal Clubman standard with nothing scarey or dangerous just nice none! bouncy sections. SO WHAT IS THE PROBLEM ! you can't all be going away for the weekend , as far as i know we are not clashing dates with any one else locally . The regs have been posted for weeks in tmx and on line. The club is giving all the fees to HELP FOR HEROES .So why if i take my shoes and socks off can i count the entries that …

I know it is only a club trial but are there any results out for the last IDMCC club trial. Not that there is anything to win, it is just nice to know how you did. No point in using punch cards if you never get the results. Not having a go as I know all the behind the scenes work is volunteer but !

Hi, Myself and a couple of riding mates are looking to do a trial or two away from our local area for a change of scenery. We are based in Hampshire so experience plenty of mud, tree roots, logs etc but fancy riding something a little different. We don't mind travelling and staying overnight for the "right" venue. Our riding level is clubman C route so we are not looking for anything too severe but quite fancy some stream / river riding or mild rocks, the kinda things we don't get down south... Open to all suggestions with the criteria that the venue must be in England or Wales. Please list venue and club that runs the trial and any pictures would be a bonus! Cheers, …

Hi All, I think I need a change of bikes. My Rev3 is OK, but getting on a bit and to be honest, I've had enough of trying to get decent, non-binding brakes. I know all the potential Beta issues, but if I change manufacturers, what are the known issues with the others? I accept that each make has strong and weak areas, but don't want to inherit a particular problem that I can't happily deal with. So, Scorpa, Sherco and GasGas. What are their specific weak areas? Thanks all Graham

  17. At our Stourbridge trial on Saturday only 14 riders turned up, even allowing for the current economic climate etc this was a very disappointing turn out I know there was a centre trial on the Sunday but i understand earlier in the week only 16 riders had entered for this event While we understand that we will probably never see the return to our 40-50 rider average entry there must be something we can do to increase our entries to something near a breakeven figure. The next Stourbridge trial will be late April early May at Hanley Childe and those of you who know how good the venue is will also know how much work is needed to put a trial on there. In an effort to inc…

Here's a thing. I ride in the South Midlands centre and occasionally in the East Midlands, primarily to ride the Peterborough trials. Happy with all this and have no problem getting a calendar of events; my club (Cambridge Matchless) has an excellent website with a list of all the South Midlands events and the east midlands centre of the ACU has a similar website. Here's the tricky bit. I have persuaded a mate to take up the sport and he lives in Gosport darn sarf. He doesn't have any experience so is hardly likley to know the clubs and leading lights in his area. This is unlikely to help much anyway as we'd like to ride trials towards the north of the southern centre so…
