Hi, I'm looking to spectate at a trail on Sunday in part just for the fun of it but also to get an idea what to expect from an easy/novice route. Seaton Delaval and Richmond Motor Club are both have trials listed and are within reasonable traveling distance. I've tried this previously and only really found people riding between sections, and sections in quarries which I'm hoping were part of an advanced route as the riding was well beyond my current capabilities. Has anyone got any advice on a suitable place and time? Thanks Allan

Guys, does anyone know where I could try trials riding in the South West? I'd just like to give it a go for the day - a sort of beginners day course. I'm in Shaftesbury Dorset, and ideally would like to do something local(ish). Cheers - Matt.

Cracking day up at Kinlochleven today. Rare sun made the the mound an absolute pleasure. Bet it's back to p***ing rain come first week in May though Dave Willoughby normally sorts results and he has a 3G Dongle he uses to email them straight away. It works really well in terms of getting things quickly. Dave wasn't available this weekend so Mick Wren was covering. Poor Mick doesn't have a dongle so we still await final results. My photos are uploaded and awaiting results to accompany them. Video is currently being sworn at/worked on. This is my first Trial of the year and, having upgraded to Windows 7 during the closed season I now find Micro$lop don't include Moviem…

Well perce says that Marky would have been on here if he had his new bike so what's the latest on the 4rt arrivals, another week/fortnight??? James Lampkin was supposed to be on one in the lakes, he's not sure if it will be here for the Scott. the plot thickens.

Hi all, I currently own a montesa 315r, I believe to be a 99 bike. The bike is great and I have no issues. I use it to ride in Clubman B, but I have decided its time to treat myself as I want to get more serious into trials. I'm still along way off from being able to ride as spectacular as some so I'm looking for a good bike to see me through the next 2 or 3 years. I have had beta, sherico and this montesa, but they have all been second hand etc and I had all sorts of issues with the sherico, but I have no idea what there are like new. Any suggestions or preferences as to what would suit me. Ps don't know if it helps but I'm about 5"10 and stocky build (not fat), I weigh…

I've just sold my Beta Evo 250 2009 which I thought was a cracking bike. I was thinking of going for a newer 2012 Beta Evo, again 250 2stroke. Are there any problems that I should know about? After replacing my frame on the 2009 model I want to avoid another problem like that. All I want is a reliable bike that will start when I want it to - is another make better? I had a 97 gas gas before that and that was a pain to start. I thought about getting a Scorpa 250 before the 09 Evo. What ever I go for will not be ridden hard (well not for a couple of years yet) Thanks

I'm looking to do a full national trials championship in 2013; I'm currently riding at Clubman level in the South West but wanting to make the step to Expert soon. I'll hopefully be dovetailing it with a crack at a South West championship and the West of England series. Based in Devon but happy to travel, mostly. I have a modern Sherco 250 and no road licence (as yet), so it needs to be a championship with no road work and that will accept modern bikes. Does the Normandale championship have a modern category? And are most of their trials single venue? Any recommendations of championships to consider, whether from happy personal experience, vigourous spectating endeavour…

I am new to trials and have been practising on my gas gas 250 pro for a while, and will soon feel ready (brave enough) to enter a trial. I was wondering which club would be the best in the woodbridge area to join for trials.

Hopefully I should finally be getting a bike soon and then starting to compete. So I need a club membership. My reasoning at the moment (possibly flawed) is to join one AMCA club and one ACU club, in order to give a wider choice of events. I live near Bristol so both Cotswolds and Somerset are on my doorstep. I'm already a member of Golden Valley (AMCA) so I'm assuming that entitles me to enter any AMCA events. Right? Which ACU club would people recommend? Will I need to join one in the Wessex Centre and one in the South-West Centre? I've been going to a number of events in the last few months and observing, but to be honest I've forgotten which clubs were …

I live near Bristol, so within the Wessex Centre, but also close to Western And South-Western Centres. Which club would local forumites recommend for a novice looking for as many easy trials as possible?
