I ride at clubmen level trials and wwas considering entering the scott trial but im not very sure whether isd be able to manage the sections? Ive watched the trial at places like bridge end, surrender, fremmington edge, underbanks and didnt think these sections were very diificult ( hard yes but not impossible for a clubman) are all the sections very similar or are these just the easier ones? any advice would be good.

  4. Sorry venting frustration and was wondering if anyone else had this problem I called a club secratary from A motorcycle club asking about joining the club and riding the club competition which they were holding within the next month and was told it was closed to club members and as i had not observed any of their trials this year "dont bother even turning up" I have only been back riding 3 months Do they have that many members they can afford to turn them away?

Hi ya. Im a trials beginner and thought some training woudn't go amiss. i wouldn't want to go to find i'm holding every one up so would it be suitable for me? I've raced motox and currently road race so i can ride but trials skills will do me no harm. Thanks

major credit to the club, the trial was spot on. shame about the poor showing when other local clubs had large entries just for club trials. dissapointing that the ACU allowed trials on the same day on the doorstep really (hillsborough, bradford). especially when barnsley received so much praise from the riders that entered the trial including Phil disney

Picked up my brand new bike on Monday, and managed to get out on it for the first time today. Unfortunately a little bit dissapointed. Not with how the bike rides, or the build quality but the checks it did, or didn't have before I got it. Whether it was by the dealer or the factory. Problem one. It wouldn't start. This was down to the bike being so choked up. Fired up and not run properly. I admit I had fired it up previously and ridden it around the garden, earlier in the week, but it had obviously been started and stopped at the dealer and I presume they are fired up at the factory. Surely they should be run up properly before delivery, After 20 min managed to get i…

After the British Championship Organisers meeting held in Rugby last Saturday I can confirm the following. For the 7 British Championship rounds - the current F.I.M marking system will be used. There will be a time limit on each Section - but this has not been set yet - but will be the same for each round - each section. It is only these 7 rounds that will see this experimental change in 2006 - and the situation will be closely monitored. Another change next year is that the best 6 rounds will count toward final classification - ie rider can drop 1 round. Entry fee's etc remain same. Obviously this change wil cause controversy - and there was much debate in the meet…

Having just studied the Scott analysis and stats posted by Andy (great coverage Andy cheers ) I must congratulate Graham on his winning ride as sixteen marks lost on observation is really remarkable.Having ridden the Scott myself some years ago I have the upmost respect for anybody just finishing the trial not to mention winning it! I know it is impossible and wrong to compare modern day trials with those of years ago but while the Scott is still fresh in the air I thought I would post this set of results from 1962 as 'Sammys' win at the time was widely regarded as one of the greatest wins of all time. What do you think guys and girls? Sorry about the quality of the sc…

Been riding up Kilkenny (Gloucestershire) for a few months now with no problems what so ever, but the last few weekends theres been 15-20 lads turning up with pit bikes and full size crossers and acting like right pr*cks. I'm all for everyone having a place to ride but they are racking up quite a list of things that arnt good: Racing laps around the car park spraying all the cars with gravel (i've been told riding in the car park is NOT allowed anyway) Racing laps around the quarry with no regard for anyone else, spraying gravel on people Leaving massive amounts of litter everywhere including oil cans and glass bottles Shouting abuse at trials riders or families tha…
