Hi First post.... We have a Beta 50 2002 mini trial rev and go, now has new clutch with new springs but will not tick over at low revs, (same with old clutch) stalls constantly when revs drop, or we turn tick over up high and bike gets to hot. I guess this is due to lack of flywheel on mx engine. Any fixes /advice please, my son is fed up stalling in sections, and I am fed up starting it!

Today i got up at 2.30am, got the 3.30 am ferry to the mainland, drove 250 miles to JST at Buxton arriving at 7.55 am to pick up new GG125. Left at 9.20am drove 250 miles back to catch 1pm ferry home, and arrived at 2.30pm. While i did some last min Xmas shopping AGIOW put the new bike together and it's now up and running ready for a steady Boxing day trial. Tonight and tomorrow i'am on call for any breakdowns for our garage, i don't know if i'am mad, bad, or just sad, all i know its that i feel a bit knackard right now. All for the love of trials …

  6. Started by craiglynsey,

After taking my two sons 8 and 11 yearrs old to the dirt bike show, I have decided to buy them both bikes for christmas. I've ordered a new 20" eco for my eleven year old but am on the look out for a 36v 16" for my 8yr old. The thinking is that maybe next year the 8yr old will move onto the 20" so should get plenty usage from the new bike. The question is what do I need to look out for when viewing / buying a second hand Oset, this is new to me and would hate to buy a dodgy bike for my sons present. Any help will be much appreciated.

  12. Started by charlie chitlins,

There sure are a lot of cheap xr70s etc out there. Anybody go old school and adapt one for a beginner trialer? It seems to me like the venerably TY80 wasn't far from a trail bike. I'm a pretty good welder so I'm not afraid to move pegs or even change neck angle. Just looking to give an 8-year-old a bit of a feeling of a trials bike on a budget. It seems to me a grunty 4 stroke would be a good introduction.

A & B Class Here C & D Class Here Looks like most routes were set out pretty well. The C class Looks like it was a bit tough and section 8 on the Medium wheels D class looked a bit pointless. However the riders seem to have been sorted out nicely.

I'm looking to get my 8yr old son his first bike. I'm keen on an electric bike as I hope he'll get more use of it, due to it being quiet, and I hope he'll take to it better than a bike with a clutch. Can some one please advise the difference between the Beta and the Oset 20. I'd probably go for the Oset Eco, rather than the Racing. Cheers

  18. This Sunday we will be putting on a Small Wheel trial at the Castleside Club trial at Rogerly Quarry, running alongside the main trial. For the Small Wheels we will use the centre 'bowl' at Rogerly, which is excellent for kids. Big enough to run a 'proper' trial, but close enough for parents to be near. We will run two routes if there is enough demand:- Easy Route for Oset / beginners etc Hard Route for those a little more advanced. Suffice to say neither route will be anything dangerous, but hopefully challenging enough to take marks. There will be a full day, depending upon numbers of riders and observers (helpful parents !) of trial and practice time and I'm su…
