Hello, I would like to fit some new seals on my Metal Profile s200 forks. Do I need to remove the sliders from the tubes to do this? If so does anyone know how to do this? When I try to undo the bolt at the bottom of the fork that goes up into the damper the whole assembly goes round inside the tube. Any ideas anyone please. Also if anyone else has a Wassell Bantam I would love to hear from you and exhange pics and info etc.

Hello, I have a Wassell trials bike with a Sachs 1251/5A in it. I have heard of and would like to put a BSA motor in it. I'm a two stroke guy and don't know anything about BSA single 4 strokes. What type / model / size should I be looking for? This bike will be 100% Trials. Any help and advice will be appreciated. If anyone has a different or better idea on a 4 stroke motor for this frame, please chime in. Thanks

Just wondering if anyone has tried water groove brake shoes (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Yamaha-TY-250-TY250-Mono-Front-Trials-Water-Groove-Brake-Shoes-/380554751654?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item589ad4aea6) and if they work? Thanks

  5. Back in the day, many trials where held on Army Estates in and around both Aldershot and Bordon. These venues and the trials, attracting hundreds of riders, yet finding any information/history on them (Talmag excluded), even in this information age is proving difficult to do. Has anybody got a potted history or can point me to a reference source to any of the trials, clubs, riders or photo’s of that era? Or even better still, post them on this site, with reminisces, photo’s etc.

Hi, I broke the exhaust bracket off the frame of my Fantic 200 (early model, rear kick start) and need to weld it back on. I tried several places locally, but no-one seems to have gas welding kit anymore so electric welding(mig or tig) seems the only option. I'm concerned about zapping the generator or electronics on my bike. Is it enough to disconnect the wiring, or do I need to remove everything to be on the safe side (I hope not, as I don't have a flywheel puller) Your advice please gents.

Well done to run such a great trial in that weather. Strange going, the deeper the water got the better the grip !!

My brother and I rode a Somerton Classic trial today at Weatherhayes Farm. I always make a point of acknowledging those that organise, set up, observe, clear up and prepare the results. The trial today has to go down as one of the best, really good challenging sections, different lines to be picked if you used your imagination, well supported by observers, virtually zero queuing, excellent weather (not sure how they arranged that), plenty of fun, banter and laughs. 3 routes, 1 to suit all abilities, WELL DONE SOMERTON CLUB, thankyou to all involved for such a great days fun.

So, we all go on about events for the classics and then there are 4 on the same day. Why can't people talk to each other in order to avoid calendar clashes like this?

Sorry if its been done to death before, but recently I've been reading books like 20 years of Twinshock Trials. Looking at some of the British lightweight bikes from the era of SHM ruling with his Bultaco,it made me realise that companies like Greeves,Sprite,James and Dot were pretty much all up there with it.In another book, the British two stroke trials bikes one,it says more than once about supplies of Villiers engines drying up.Cotton for instance used the 170cc Minerelli engine, but it seems it was not very popular - compared to the Villiers. So what happened to Villiers engines ? I guess they were owned by NVT,were they just dropped as a decision made by the parent co…

I just bought a trial bike a Bultaco Sherpa 350 but I don't know what type of Bultaco it is? The tank is strange and if I compare with other tank from the opening is not in the center of the tank. I have the paper and the bike build is 1975. ON the last picture (yellow), what is this part? Thank you

  18. Started by atitagain,

What year is this Bultaco Sherpa? I'm told its a 1974 but I'm not so sure. What do you think?

  19. From the Bemrose with 200 entries and over subscribed, to this weekends round with an enrty of approx 35% that number. Many top names who competed in the earlier rounds appear to be dropping out each round. So! Where is everyone? Why are the entries declining each round? What's gone wrong with the championship? Other classic championships appear to be going from strength to strenght ie, the PJ1 Northern British Bike Championship and that's without twin shock classes.

October 2011 I sat on Santa's knee and when he asked me what I wanted for Christmas, I told him I wanted my barrel relined. He said it was a fairly simple request and to send it to his little Elf to undertake the work. Christmas 2011 came and went and Santa's little Elf had let me down, no barrel, no liner, nothing. As Easter approached, the Easter Bunny reckoned he could fit into one of his lovely eggs if I visited the north pole to collect the barrel! I set off in the snow to collect it and pay for it, only to find when I got it home it would not fit the crankcase mouth. So off I went back to the north pole with it to get it put right. Once I returned again from t…
