I went out on my bike yesterday, but before I did ,I checked the electrics out ,cleaned all the terminals up and took the flywheel off and gave it a liberal spray of WD. After 20 minutes of riding and being about a mile from my car, the bike cut out and wouldnt restart.I changed the plug but still it wouldnt start so I checked the spark.......no spark.Thoughts of what the hell have I done and why did I mess about with it if it wasnt broken were running through my mind. I couldnt find the fault until I decided to check if I`d done anything behind the flywheel, when I took the cover off ,I could tell straight away...snapped woodruff key.The flywheel was just spinning and t…

I am having problems sealing my front forks on a 2013 Beta Evo 4T. I have changed the seals (not for the first time) but they still leak. Tried new bushes and another set of good quality fork seals, still no joy. Legs are smooth with no blemishes although the black friction coat has worn away. Any thoughts? Should I be looking to get the legs re-chromed or could there be something else amiss? Having looked at the parts catalogue internals look more like the 2014 model - https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0312/4301/0185/files/2014_Evo_4_stroke_parts.pdf?v=1592579609

I've got an 06 250 Rev3 and it is always falling apart.... anyone else have this issue, is it normal??? My other bikes are an enduro CRF250X Honda and I also have an RMZ250 Suzuki for motocross and neither of them require the checks that the Beta does...... First thoughts are that I'm appalled at the Beta build quality, but maybe with frequent riding at the top of my TO DO list, this is expected....... I try to get on the bike at least 2 hrs a week and OK I admit that I don't check every nut and bolt on every outing but..... I bought the damn thing to ride not to continuously check, tighten, glue and repeat! Any one else share the same frustration or is this a two strok…

Hi, I have just replaced the inner clutch casing on an '05 125 due to coolant corrosion. I also fitted new bearings and oil seal to the impeller shaft. After flushing and plenty of oil changes I am still getting coolant into the oil and suspect I may not have fitted the oil seal correctly (or is there another cause?) Are there any tips or special tools required to fit this correctly Thanks, Jon.

Had my new evo 2010 300 4t for 8 weeks all was well until it started backfiringand silencer box which was rattling was replaced ,was advised to turn mixture screw half a turn anti clockwise ,and it appears like i,ve screwed it up litaerally as bike only now starts with choke on and as soon as you throttle it or put choke in it cuts out ...Whilst its difficult enough to adjust the mixture screw even with the recommended special beta tool unless you have fingers the size of a new born baby can anyone out there advise what is the correct number of turns out from full closed to have the bike running sweet again...many thanks

Have found the problem like am sure many others have when insuring a beta evo, the problem is almost every insurance company doesn't have the evo listed? It seems that the evo has not been updated on there computers and the bike is still listed as a rev 3 upto 2010. Has anyone just insured it at a rev?

I have a 2008 Beta Rev 4T. I weigh 250lbs (113kg). Obviously I need beefier front/back springs than stock. Two questions: 1. How do I determine the correct stifness of springs? 2. Where do I get them? I'll do the work in my own shop. thanks.

I have black spots splattered on the rear rim. I thought it may be poor adjustment of the fuel screw on my dellorto carb. It could be this however the bike seems to rev well with it one turn out or three. I confess I dont have a good enough ear for carb fine tuning. Bike is a Rev3 125. I think I may be losing coolant but this is minimal I certainly havent got coolant in the tranny oil. Could it be the head / base gasket failing ? Is there any way of checking ? I have no loss of power and the bike is running sweet as a nut. Help would be appreciated.

Firstly I would like to introduce myself, My name is Chris and I have just purchased a part built Beta Techno 250 1997. I’m hoping to pick your brains on probably my first of many issues having not stripped the bike myself. CDI Location I have tried to fit this in every available gap with no joy, dealers reckon under headstock, there is no room there. can anyone take a look at theirs for me to see where its fitted, it has a rubber surround and a bracket. Many thanks in anticipation.

Hi The left hand fork seal popped out of my Evo today. I had a quick go at putting it back in, but no success. Is there an easy method? It is an SKF (green) seal. Thanks in anticipation.
