Just snapped of the little lump of metal that holds the spring on my side stand. Of course I can get it welded but that might cost as much as buying a new one. DOes anyone have any ideas what a new one would cost?? OR...maybe i should just continue to lean it against a tree???

Hi, I really need some urgent advice (trial booked tomorrow!); I'm changing the leaking fork seals, I've done the right fork (rebound) no problem but now that I've got the left fork disassembled I can't work out how the spring comes out. I need the spring out to measure the correct air gap for oil quantity. I've removed the top cap and the conical plastic spacer underneath but there's another cylindrical plastic bush on the inside of the fork tube that the spring appears to be seated under. This plastic bush does not seem to come out, can anyone help please?

As I’m new to trials riding, I want to fit a lanyard-magnetic kill switch to my ‘08 Beta 270. I also want to keep the manual switch. I presume the kill switch is a normally-open switch, which, when used, simply earths the coil. I followed the two wires from the existing manual switch, and added my magnetic switch wires to the same connections-one into the loom, the other, already fitted with a ring fitting, to the earth point with other earth wires, on the coil mounting. So now, when either switch operates, the earth circuit should be completed. but this arrangement now only works when the magnetic switch is removed-when I put it in place, it kills the engi…

After a reasonable search of the forum I know that it is possible to change out the sub frame assembly and airbox of the 2000-01 Rev 3 250\270 for the later 02-07 airbox. Has anyone actually done this and what was the cost? Pictures are always a good thing if you can share those, too. I noticed that there were as many posts supporting the original box as there were advocating a change to the newer box. Filters for the 02-07 are easy to come by but I've not had much luck getting my hands on the right filter since it's such an odd duck. I'll eventually have one after getting the 02-07 filter shipped to me by mistake. It's a shame we can't all use the same filter...I c…

Hi I am going to overhaul my Upside down forks on my 00 Rev 3. Any tips greatly appreciated. They are weeping slightly so seals are going to be replaced but would like info on set up.I have the levels from the Beta site. One area of confusion (it does'nt take much) for me is which fork is classed as the left one, looking at the bike from the front or looking at the bike from ride position. Also tips on the rear paoli suspension set up adjustments would be good if anyone has info.
