Hi All There is a nice 08 Rev 4 for sale near me which I quite like the look of. I read through this forum and it appears there was a kickstart mod that Beta did for this model. The question is how can you tell if the mod has been done ? Thanks

  2. On my 2008 Rev 4T - the rear brake pedal is too high. I find I ride the rear brake too much and want to lower it. I looked at the pedal and it looks like it really cannot be adjusted. Anyone have the same issue? Did you make a change? What did you do? thanks

Hi Due to a number of reasons I'd not run the Rev4 for over a year... After getting it started at the trial it ran OK up to a point it intermittently cut out queueing at some sections and was pinking a fair bit. Any advice on what might be causing this and what to do? Old fuel probably didn't help... 😣

I had a 2006 Rev-3 250now I have a 2008 Rev-3 250. I know there were some frame changes from '06 to '08. For what ever reason I'm just not riding the '08 as well. I pick up twice the points. My balance isn't as good on this one. Anyway, I've tinkered with suspension settings. My '06 suspension was a bit worn and soft and that may be the whole difference. Any ideas???

I have the chance to buy one of these local to me that seems to be in excellent shape. It comes with new tires (just installed) and a brand new rear fender (not installed). It also has had an updated engine case installed due to the known corrosion issues from coolant. I know there could be some part availability issues, but is there anything else I should know before going to look at it? He is asking $3100usd but told me to make an offer. This is the bike:

Morning all after some advice please. I currently have a 2008 rev3 250 running the keihin carb. I had this stripped down for cleaning yesterday and took note of the jets. The pilot was 45 and main 110. Are these correct? What are the standard settings. the bike has always ran very sluggish with not much punch so wondered if this may be the cause. thanks Mike.

Can anyone tell me what the crankcases on an 08 Rev3 were made of please, I seem to recall they are magnesium? I'm rebuilding one and the cases have corroded badly and so I need to refinish them. Thanks in advance

I have found a 2008 Beta 250 Brand new at a good deal. What would I be giving up by going with this instead of a 2009 EVO? The price on the 2008 model is about 15% less money wise than the 2009 model. Thanks!

Hi, I've just purchased the above bike to keep my Triumph Tiger Cub company! It has been reasonably well looked after but is not immaculate by any means. I only intend to compete in local club trials on the novice routes. This is the 1st Beta I have owned but the build quality looks to be good and as a 'left footer' has the kick start on the proper side :-) (first bike since my Bultaco back in 1978!) I have a few questions: After reading this forum, I checked the frame and swing arm carefully for cracks and it seems fine. However, I think the frame & swing arm may have been changed for the following reasons: 1. The Fuel Filler Cap is on the centreline of the …

Can anyone tell me the size of the 2 x o-rings between the main pipe and the mid-section of a 2009 Beta Evo. The dimensions for the internal diameter and the thickness of the o-ring would be ideal. I think they will be something like 62mm internal diameter and 2.5mm thickness, but mine are rather deteriorated. The parts book and the workshop manual do not give the size. Thanks for assistance.

  16. So I had my bike fully freshened up a couple months ago. I went to use it for the first time last weekend and both fork seals were leaking!! ;-( All we did was fresh oil in the forks for that portion of the tune up. The fork seals were not leaking before! What could cause this? I removed the dust covers and cleaned that area out. I also took a thin firm paper and ran it around the fork seal to get any crap out of there. It worked for a bit and then started leaking again. I usually keep the bike on a stand with the wheels in the air when not riding it. I took it off the stand now so its just resting on it's own weight now. Any suggestions??

Are there any ways to tell if the 2009 Beta EVO I just bought is an 'updated' frame or an original issue frame that were prone to breakage? Serial numbers, visable traits, etc. Thanks!

T&T have sold out of 2009 rear mudguards. Has anyone sourced alternatives of late. There's none on ebay and mine is in 2 halves, broken beyond repair or patching up with a Bosi alternative. Can't believe there's no-one making plain coloured after market copies somewhere???

I know that I am a bit previous but (also pervious but thats another story) but has anyone seen the 2009 Beta ? I was thinking that Beta have stuck with the tried and tested format for a while now and must be due a major revamp or face being left behind the competition. Anyone heard anything on the grape vine ? Stormy
