  3. hi! i´v just bought and installed the CSP waterpump kit, everything is fine. but: now that there is a spacer, the waterpumpcover is a bit closer to the exhaust, so the coolant hoses touch the exhaust. i wonder, if one of you has the same waterpump installed and how you have solved this problem. here are two pics: http://trialforum.net/index.php/Attachment/20914-20150518-150356-jpg/?thumbnail=1 http://trialforum.net/index.php/Attachment/20913-20150518-150417-jpg/?thumbnail=1 it´s a beta evo 290 2010 thanks in advance, dani

Hi All Anybody recommend a place where I can get the Bardahl Permanent Coolant for the 2010 290 Evo? It's the recommended coolant and it seems to not be available in the UK. Cheers

Just bought an 01 beta 200, nice bike, but the fan seems to be hitting the shroud, and hence is not spinning when I run the motor hot.. Not sure if it was damaged / moved in transit, or if it has been like this for a while. I'll pull it all apart tommorrow & check it out., but just wondering if there is a dismantalling procedure on the web somewhere? Also can anyone can suggest tests for fan, thermo switch etc. are they 12v devices or 5v? Is there a common cause of the fan hitting the shroud? TIA for any info.

How can you change a 2018 Beta Evo 200 to a 250 power wise? If not possible, can you improve the power quite a bit with other changes to the engine? Thanks a lot for your help.

hi, I have taken of the stator cover cleaned and replaced it.The spark seems great and the plug does get wet. I noticed there was fuel getting into the exhaust it did run with the exhaust off for about 10 secs now with it back on it either backfires or doesnt do anything at all. I have had float height mentioned to me but as yet havent checked it, but did take float needle out and blow threw the hole. and I have blown out the carb with comressed air. Any ideas I was looking forward to using it during christmas with my boys but it doesnt look good. All help gratefully recieved.!!!!

HI all! my 290 2011 evo died tonight and as no spark! tried disconecting kill switch checked all wiring conectors spark plug and cap! do evos suffer with sator failure? as i had to replace one on my old rev3! also before it died i have had a fault on my fan and it was running all the time even when starting from cold, i did disconect fan switch and it stopped so i left it connected and thought it was better it going all the time than not at all! would fan running all the time had an efect on stator and made it fail? cheers for any replys.

  17. At a trial yesterday, my 2010 Evo 300 4T was overheating and when I checked the fan, it was running very slowly with the bike at idle and when I revved it, the fan stopped completely. When the bike cooled down, the fan didn't start to run, which implies to me that the thermostat is OK. The fan can also be turned freely and there is no noise coming from it. Before the trial, I had removed the small covers on the frame to polish it, but I checked again and the wires don't seem to be trapped or damaged. Any suggestions on how to diagnose it or do I just need to buy a new fan assembly? Thanks

My TR 34 eats the plug really fast. The ignition is rebuild, Motoplat type with new electronic parts, the carburator is also rebuild, all jets and the slide are new, I'am using the standard jetting, being around 55m above sea level.. (There is no wear inside the carb body). After the rebuild I mounted a new NGK BR 7 ES* and now - just after 4 h of riding the plug failed and the electrodes are pretty much eroded. I'am using a slightly hotter plug as the colder ones appears to get oily and sooted, the used plug is still sooty and slightly oily sadly still not the "right color". * The R type, I couldn't get a plug without R so quick, (maybe thats the issue ???) Second th…

  19. Help!!! I have an 02 Beta Rev 3, and the rear brake line runs from the master cylinder, up over air tube (directly under seat), then back down, (narrowly missing the exhaust), then it runs down and back towards the rear, directly under the shock reservoir. Mine is a braided line (factory??) and barely rubs the the bottom of the rear shock reservoir, and now has a leak. I am in the USA, and nobody has one in stock, but can order it for $98. I can have one made for around $60, so that is the route I am going.... unless your wisdom tells me other wise.... Here are my questions: 1. Since I am replacing the line, should I go with a smaller diameter line? The local road…

Wondering what you guys have done with your Evo's. I have a 2015 300 4T, non factory. I'm 6'2 and 185 lbs or 13 stone. I ride a lot of slab and rocks with plenty of traction. The shock is very poor IMO compared to the newer Montesa's. The Montesa floats up big stuff while the Beta blows through it's stroke. I had a Gas Gas before and Randy Lewis worked wonders with that shock for about $200, but his Beta solution is $700+. His solution involves a remote reservoir and increased travel. I'm sure it works great but for not much more money I could get a new Montesa (which I think is a better bike) so don't want to do that. Manual says rebound and preload on forks …
