Those who followed my last thread re: carb jetting will recall that I opened the carburetor on my recently-purchased TL320 only to find that the idle jet was completely missing. As I looked at the following diagram, I noted that there is also an emulsion tube that is shown, (part # 9980, labeled number 5 on the diagram) apparently fitted above, and in the same passage as the idle jet (labeled #7). I ordered a selection of idle jets in various sizes, and I also ordered the emulsion tube shown in the parts list accompanying the diagram. The emulsion tube does not fit. It is far too long. The idle jets fit, and the bike runs beautifully with the idle jet in place, and no …

hi new to the forum and the twinshock scene. just though I’d introduce myself. my dads had this tucked away in a garage for the last 32years. After a couple of failed attempts to get it running in the mid 90s I though I’d have another go now technology is a bit better. and here the bike is “finished” it’s meant to be a little ratty and rough around the edges. I don’t fancy turning up at some local trials events with a shiney new looking bike and being rubbish haha. I went a little different on the tank

Anyone know a source for rotax kick start hubs(not the lever, the piece that clamps on the shaft)? Mine snapped the other day and I have not had much luck finding a replacement. Is Comeca still in business, they were offering them a few months back, but I can't seem to find them on the web now. Help! Thanks ,Jim

Introducing myself because I've just brought a '82 320. Haven't rode for 20 years, now live in S.Wales so thought I'd buy a bike to do some trail riding before I get too decrepit (I'm 68!) to ride. Used to ride a Ossa MAR, never in comps though. Don't know much about the brand, apart from it's a pretty bike (shallow reason to buy, but you know!). The bike seems good for the price I paid. It's a bit visually challenged, seat vinyl torn, frame paint missing etc., but seems to run well. Has been used in trials, so I think it's ok mechanically. And some questions! Neutral seems hard to find when the engine is running, OK when engine stopped and slightly e…

Hi guys Hope someone can help us out with our newly acquired Speedy TL 320. There's a bolt plus a hex stud and after loosening said nut a little it seems not to want to tighten back in. The oil has been drained through hex stud and any recommendations for best oil and correct amount would also be appreciated. Photos below and thanks very much in anticipation for any info Cheers Zeb

After looking around for a good while for a replacement exhaust manifold for my 81 TL320NW, I found that most of what was on offer was in worse condition to the one I wanted to replace. Then a notification popped up on FB for some new stainless ones on offer. I ordered one, it arrived yesterday, I fitted it today, perfect.

Shortly after I bought my TL320, I saw a website with an animation, demonstrating how the air/fuel mixture makes its way from the carb into the cylinder through the disc valve and crankcase. Now, of course, when I want to show it to a friend, I can't find it again. If anyone knows where I can find the animation again, I'd sure appreciate a link! Thanks, Ted

AS clutches are a major talking point on the Forum, AND i was a bit bored last night !!.. thought i'd do some measurements of the Clutch lever actuation while my 320 is stripped down. ( Excuse the slightly blurred pics and the Dirt in the casings !!.) These are just for Information , as I'd not seen these measurements stated (So hope this helps anyone in some way ) .. And they're from a pretty worn engine, but I expect them to be reasonably accurate. (is that enough disclaimers !!)

Just removed the rear wheel to replace the wheel bearings. I found a short 'sleeve' rattling around when the spindle was removed. So, should there be a full length sleeve between both wheel bearing inner races ? Has anyone got a photograph of the rear wheel set up ? Many thanks !

Can someone offer a recommendation to a carburetor (and jet sizes) to use on a Jumbo (350) ? My Jumbo doesnt have the reeds and is not the rotary induction. A Delorto PHBH 30mm is the OEM carb for my Jumbo. I'd prefer to use a round slide carburetor. So, Im thinking a newer style Delorto or a Nibbi. Im not interested in using a OKO (I rentlessely tried a 28mm with no luck). My Jumbo engine was just rebuilt (top and bottom end) and there are no air leaks. No matter what I do, I can't get rid of a lean condition found below 1/4 throttle....and still have mid and top correct.... it seems to be either or. so, Im at the point to try a new carb. Thanks.
