Hey all. I am trying to free a stick Kickstarter. Martin linked a video for me of how to set it up. But do I need to split the cases to get to it? or just remove clutch and gears? Let me know if you know !

Hi All, As above, would like a pic or two if possible on how this plate should look with regard to things like size of the digits and is Engine 348.5cc or 348.5 cm\3, also is weight 89kg or 89KG,just stuff like that. Reason I ask is that my Jumbo that I bought a few years ago is missing the plate on the headstock and I have recently purchased a blank plate from Martin in the UK, just want to populate this plate as accurately as possible when I eventually blast and repaint the frame (Suburu WRX Blue from years ago is close I believe). Hi, Im in the process of rebuilding the wheels on my 81 TLNW 320. What I forgot to do before stripping them was to check if the rim was in the middle of the hub or offset to one side. Anybody able to help ? Thanks, Phil

Anyone know the bearing number? I've put the old one down somewhere and can't find it at the moment to get the number. I have to go to the local bearing stockist tomorrow so if they have some in stock I can get some whilst I'm there.

Hello New Friends! I am hoping someone can answer some q's for me.. I bought a 320 with no spark. they had the wrong stator coil hooked up to the points first off so I changed it. have spent about 5 hrs so far and not sure about afew things. First. the points are new, I am using a new condenser and have tried 2 coils. I found a thread someone posted about hooking 2 D size batteries together to get 3volts to test with and I was able to get spark but found that the coil will make spark with voltage applied to it. I also was able to get spark from the coil through the points while hand turning the flywheel a few times, thought I…

I bought a 1980 SWM TL320 last year that was in need of a lot of work. I'm fixing it up to compete in vintage trials. I'm replacing the swingarm bushings and have had a heck of a time just removing one bushing. Anyone have a better way to remove and replace these bushings? I have a few different ideas but thought I would ask here for some advice. Thanks

Hi All, can anybody help i went to change the oil on my 320 and i took the bolt out that is the kickstop gear stop ,i have the clutch cover off and the clutch basket but a cant see how to pre load the kickstart gear/spring? . Cheers Paul . 07989 313652

All seems fine operation-wise but has some grooved shoes that seem to get mixed reviews....anyone carre to comment on their use in SWM's. I've deglazed the shoes and the hub but no better.

I have just finished a touch up of a total wreck and tried to roll start it today. It seems like the spark, which is healthy fires way too early. It just dead stop the engine from turning with a pffff sound. I mean a spark something like in the middle of the compression phase. The vertical line with a yellow dab of paint lines up with the cylinder when piston in TDC and the line is in the middle of the hole on the stator cover when I remove the plastic plug about where I figure the timing should be. I know nothing or very little of these bikes but I do think that the Bosch 12v 55w system with a flywheel facing outwards, and the stator in the cover is OEM? All …

Hi all, I´m thinking of moving the condensor up under the petrol tank so that it can easily be changed. Anyone done this ? I suppose you can just join the three wires where the condensor normaly is and then fit the condensor in the blue wire to the HT coil (or not) ?

Could somebody help me with the thread direction for the clutch side crank nut [more like a cylinder with a 1/2 inch square female]? Any tips on replacing the crankshaft seal would be also be most welcome?

After much neglect I've gotten back to my Jumbo 350 project bike. The previous owner was about 90% done with the restoration when he took ill and was unable to complete. It's missing the front brake lever and I'm not sure what kind of throttle and clutch levers are on it. Could someone please tell me what levers and throttle were originally used on this bike? I'm hoping they used the same Domino gear that was on the Fantics as they work well for me. If possible I'd like to stay original or at least period correct. Also regarding the secondary clutch lever under the tank (not sure what else to call it) is angled slightly off of 90 degrees. Should it lean towards, or a…

If you cut a SWM back box vertically and long ways, the bit nearest the wheel is a series of baffles. The outside doesn't appear to be connected at all, whats that all about, eh ?

Hi all has anyone out there got a picture of the clutch lightening device with two cables for the Jumbo ?

Currently using a slow action throttle on mine AND lower gearing than standard.....and she is quite a tame old thing at the moment. For ref' Domino use a black throttle tube for slow and white tube for quick.

Hey Guys any tips what to do with a sticky clutch. It sticks a while from cold but thats not the problem as others do this as well. The problem is that when warmed up after pulling the clutch in it takes about 5 seconds before it disengages. This is also when starting off you have to wait about 5 seconds before engaging 1st. gear. For practice riding its okay but if it was to be used in a trial this would be difficult.

can anyone tell me if a swm kickstart is the same as a aprilia tx311m
