Hi All, I'm building a 350 Jumbo for competition and was wondering if anyone has matched the cases on the motor? Did it make a difference? If so what difference? Thanks

Hi, has anybody gone to the trouble of replacing the silent bloc swingarm bushes on an 81 TLNW320 with needle rollers or some other alternative ? I'm building a 'Bitsa' using a TL frame and swinger and just wondered if anybody might have done such and would be willing to share their experiences ? Thanks up front, Phil

My 350 Jumbo had a 15 tooth countershaft sprocket which looks gigantic. Does anyone know what the original set up was for front and rear? Also are there supposed to be spacers between the front sprocket guard and the engine cases? Thanks

Help ! Just got our new/old SWM 320 running but the clutch seems to be disengaged normally and engages when the clutch is pulled in. What's going on ? I can cope with the heavy operation but it is tricky to ride with that configuration !

Trying to get my bike working again. (Stolen / recovered) An air cooled Aprilia with Rotax engine. The flywheel has been spinning on the shaft after the woodruff key sherred. I think the crankshaft is ok, but the taper on the flywheel has suffered, question is does the keyway start from nothing, or has it been worn away by the crankshaft ? Anybody out there want to sell a flywheel, if required ? The wiring has all been pulled out but shouldnt be to difficult to reinstate. I've got the engine out, head off, but the barrel wont move. Of the 8 studs that secure the head 4 go through to the crankcase ? I've put release oil down and will leave it overnight. Is it best to …

Howdy gang! New guy here, off in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, in Wyoming, USA. I recently purchased a 1982 SWM TL320. It has been sitting for some time, and I've begun the process of bringing it back to life. Since people always like photos, here it is: Last night I drained the oil from the transmission, and removed the clutch cover while I was at it, to get a sense how dirty things might be inside. I found oil that clearly had a great deal of water mixed in. Since the bike was running, and I had ridden it a bit in the course of the purchase, the oil and water were mixed into a thick goo that resembled a chocolate milkshake. Good to see that gone! Things were…

I am in the process of rebuilding the engine on my 1982 320TL. Everything was going fine until I came to setting the ignition timing. I know that it should be between 2.6 and 2.8 BTDC but I can't rotate the stator plate enough to achieve this. Can someone help by taking me through the process for setting the ignition timing as I am probably making an elementary mistake! Cheers Chris

Hi Guys, A very helpful past owner of my 1982 tl 320 let me know how he set the clutch up. As follows: replaced clutch springs with 6 xr 650 valve springs A$35.00, whacked on a venhill clutch cable and uses a magura lever rather than standard It works like a ty now, its great. I believe the plates were replaced with barnetts but still confirming that.

As above, the exact colour or colour code for the SWM frames still eludes me, I was told the Subaru WRX blue (code 02C) was a close match, and indeed it is close but still not close enough for me. I know I'm being pedantic here, but since I've started paint stripping my Jumbo which was obviously re-painted in the wrong shade of blue by a previous owner (refer attached pic), I have found traces of the original slightly metallic and darker blue underneath and it's not quite the same as Subaru WRX blue. Any advice appreciated. Also still chasing info on my previous post regarding seat/tank/shroud arrangement.

I have just bought a TL320 '82 with Rotax engine. From a copy of a US maintenance manual I understand that there should be a kind of external stop for the kick starter to avoid damage to the left side engine (clutch-) cover. I can't see any such mechanism on my SWM. Could anyone please describe it for me - if possible with a picture too?
