Hi, Has anyone found new isolation rubbers for the exhaust mountings. I can't find anything close on the web. My current ones are made up off two flanged rubber washers and a central steel tube. If I can't find any I'm thinking I might have to make some. Shock mountings are close but the frame tube is 20mm I/d and the shock mountings all seem around 23mm. Cheers.

Can someone help ? I have a Fantic 200 that needs kicking what seems like 50 times to start, and the same when it stops. I have checked fuel & air items, cleaned the carb and all seem good. I have replaced the HT lead and plug. The ignition system is standard as from the factory so getting on a bit. I have measured accross the wires coming from the LT to the HT coil as follows with a multimeter set on 2000 ohms. Green to black measures 043 ohms and the red to black measures 655 ohms. Does anyone know if this is correct, I don't want to spend £300 on replacing it all if I don't have to ?

A long shot but just wondering if the above bike is still about or owned by anyone on here. It was my first trial bike that I bought off Carl Baker and rode in Manchester 17, Macc & Hyde trials in the very early 80’s. TIA.

Hey guys! I'm the proud new owner of a 240- I need to mount a tether kill switch in order to compete in some of the events near me- Just wondering where is the best place to connect the non-ground wire for the tether switch, and what color/s the original kill switch wires are? Mucho appreciated in advance! Cheers, Jeff

Anyone found a smaller back sprocket than standard (53) that would be more suitable for some road use. I marshal for the SSDT at times and thinking of using my Fantic instead of the normal BMW gs! I do manage to get the gs in some daft places but the fantic would be more suitable. I just don't want to be revving the nuts off it on some of the longer road sections.

Hi guys, Can anyone help me with the standard piston bore size of the 240 (212cc) engine to the nearest mm. if anyone has a scrap piston available and has time I would also like to know the gudgeon pin diameter, crown height from pin center to piston crown and the overall piston height. These can be just a ruler measurement. Thanks in advance, Prelit

My bike is sounding lean at about 2/3 and up throttle. (It almost sounds like detonation.) I’m running an OKO 26mm carb, 48 pilot and 115 main, needle clip in the second notch from the top. The main is one size bigger than required. I don’t think it’s a carb problem anymore. I checked my timing and it’s right on. I checked my pipe and it appears clear and the muffler is a new Wes. I’m running the stock champion plug. Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi all. Just getting round to reassembling my mid 80s 240. One problem it does have is I think the spring has gone on the gear lever - as in, it can select all gears but doesn’t return to the central position. Big job to sort and has anyone got any experience of this? Thanks, Alan.

Hello Forum, I'm newly signed up here, but thanks to all; I've been a vistor to the site for many years... I've been restoring an '86 301 Progress1 for a while; close to riding it now [hopefully], but been struggling long time to find rear axle spacers and dust seals, or their spec / interchange-ability with other models; I've no parts diagrams to help me unfortunately; does anyone have this knowledge to share please? or even better, parts to sell? Could anyone help me towards my goal pls? Any /all advice very gratefully recieved... Diolch Neil
