This morning I replaced the clutch plates on my Tr280 for the new upgrade kit from Ossa. The old one was draging a lot even when the bike was at operating temperature. My dealer lent me the tool to align the spring. So I did the replacement this morning. I put oil on the plates when I put them in place, used the align tool and put everything back together. Everything went really easy. I started the bike to try it... when I shift, the bike started to roll. I put the brakes and it stalled. So I start again and let the engine warm for a while, same thing. I can't see whats wrong? Is there a specific side for the release arms?

Yesterday I was riding at a local trial event and bike was running fine. And then I was unable to shift in second or neutral, it was stuck in 1rst gear. I didn't drop the bike or crash it on that day. This morning I removed the transmission and I can't see what's wrong. I tried to change the shifter spring adjustment position with no luck. Unlike yesterday, now with the trans out, I can move between 1rst gear and neutral. But can't go up in 2nd gear. Any idea of what can be the problem? I seached on the internet but didn't found anything similar.

Hi Just picked up a 2012 bike and it needs a new back mudguard as the former owner has repaired the one that is fitted to the bike and I wondered if the 2013 rear mudguard fits the 2012 as it is made more flexible plastic and also do I have to get the 2013 graphics or will the 2012 fit Thanks

I read that guys are purchasing the 2013 clutch pack. Is this the whole clutch assembly from 2013 bikes or is it just the "2.1mm intermediate plates" from the special parts catalog? What does the clutch upgrade do? I have a 2012 explorer with 2.5 hrs on it. The clutch seems fine, but shifting is poor. Up or down, any gear, Whether its running or not. It is hard to get into gear.

Hello. As title i really can not get on with the compression on this bike. Is there anybody with experience with other year modern Ossa bikes that found the compression on 2013 bikes unreasonable to the point of cant be a***d to try to start the bike. I believe that Ossa changed something on the later bikes or earlier ones so the compression was not so high. So if they did how can i change it to the different compression rate because how the hell are you supposed to start the bike again in the middle of a trials section with out putting your foot/ feet down. Ta

I noticed my clutch slipping a bit in the higher gears a few weeks back. I gave the lever more free play at the MC just to make sure it had some. It seemed to get better for some time (it was hardly slipping before). Today during practice I noticed it was slipping again, badly. After some time today the bike was pretty much unable to be ridden. I've not had a chance to tear it down yet but will soon. Anyway I am guessing this bike has less than 40 or 50 hours on it total time as it looked brand new (as in not a scratch on it anywhere) when I got it. I don't see how it's possible to have this clutch be gone so fast, is there anything I should look for when I ope…

So there was I thinking this makeover on the bike would be a 2 minute job . Long story short ... Eventually decided that I wanted to put a factory sticker kit on my bike and do the frame white so ordered the sticker kit through my local dealer. He was told it would be here in a week ( which ends today ). I get a call from him this morning saying that they are no longer available?? How can a sticker kit from last years bike not still be available. I do have a 2014 tr280 sticker kit here but wanted something a bit different. Frame is lying bare and ready to be powder coated Is there a 2014 factory kit? Anyone post a pic?

Thinking about taking the plunge, have never ridden trials only Enduro and MX. A nasty injury has made a trials bike appealing due to weight and less stress on my arms. I snapped my humerus in two early April (MX) and has surgery eight weeks ago. I should be able to start riding in August and a light weight bike that is less powerful than my SXf 250 is appealing. I want to use it more like a MTB with an engine though than rock hopping and to get onto single tracks in forrests. So, noise pollution is a consideration - compared to my SXF, how quiet is the Ossa? The Ossa appeals as it has EFI and I am not a bike tweaker, want to drop the oil and ride it without dicking …

Does anyone know the correct torque settings for the upper and lower triple clamp bolts? The Owners Manual doesn't seem to specify them?

Hi all; New here as I just bought my first trials bike, it is a 2013 Explorer set up in trials form with only a few tanks ran through it, so it has sat around and been ridden very little. After buying it I took it for a ride, had some clutch drag when it started, I road it up a fire road one mile to the trail head, as I proceeded up the trail a quarter mile the clutch faded to nothing, as in the bike sitting in gear idling. Back at the van I let it cool for five minutes then I had full clutch again, rode around the parking area and the clutch faded again. Back home I found the oil was over filled, so I drained it put fresh oil to the proper level. A few days later I wen…

Been troubleshooting a no start condition on my 2014 Ossa 250, found a dead aaa battery in easy start box, found broken wires in easy start, after changing battery it started first kick for a couple of days, loaded up went to ride finally got it to start several kicks, ran great good power, next day would not start found that 10 volts out of easy start not getting to control module, found broken red and black wires, fixed breaks still not starting reliably, started using Konrads control writeup and wiring diagram is conduct more detailed testing, I see 9.5 volts on the red wire at rectifier when magnetic lanyard button released, stays for about 40 seconds. Kick bike duri…

I recently added a trail tech in coolant temperature sensor to my 2014 Ossa TRi 250, I am seeing coolant temperatures of 220 to 230 degrees F during extended climbs of 1000 to 2000 feet at 5000 ft elevation. Can any Ossa owners confirm the coolant temperatures they see during high load operation. New cooling fan, radiator clean, fan relay good, fan turns on at about 160 and off at 155. No lifting of radiator cap relief, idle speed drops about 200 rpm at elevated temperature. See coolant temperatures of about 150 to 170 during normal trials riding activity.

Hi everyone, I own my 2014 tri280 over 7 years. I use it only a few hours a year in my backjard. No oil changed or repairs were needed. Untill now. The clutch is starting to give problems: When "clutched" ( i mean brake connection between crank and gears) it starts to drags al little. I have to brake otherwise it will slowly drive away. The point of engagement (? if this is the correct term, im not sure) hasnt changed. When "not clutched" there is no slip at all. (sorry about bad english, i try) So before taking everything apart I read as much as possible. Found ossa-efi.com. Thanks a lot Konrad for your work. I found stuff reg…
