Does anyone know if there any wiring looms about or of a wiring loom i could cut up and re solder ,spent 2 months now trying to fix my bike just about every thing has been changed other than wiring loom and ecu been in a shop and thought it had been fixed ran fine for 2 weeks now the problems back

Was at Jim Hoellerich's museum this past weekend and saw two beautiful 1980 Yellow Grippers. I would like to know how these bikes compare to similar twin shocks and how well they perform in competition. Any information is appreciated.

Not knowing much at all about MAR's I wanted to show what this particular job entailed. I am certain that it may not be of any help to all, but maybe someone will benefit from this small task. As received said sprocket had 4 holes @ .404 & a bore to match wheel, that said I was wondering if in fact the later MAR's used shoulder bolts to attach said sprocket?? Anyway set up on mill & carefully bored to .591 (15mm locating lugs), alls well now. Thank you Larry

I am looking at a new 2013 bike. Trying to decide between the OSSA , Beta, and Sherco. I'm an intermediate rider. We ride woods with steep hill climbs and steep rock sections, some longer trail rides; all in big mountains (British Columbia). Any comments on the Ossa bikes? Some people are saying the the FI isn't quite there yet, Carbs are still better. How about general quality and reliability? Any suggestions what you would buy if you could get a new 2013? Hello All, Has anyone dealt with Ossacels recently and how did it go? I ordered parts for my MAR months ago and have not seen them yet, I've sent numerous emails both in english and spainish and had no reply. I haven't paid for anything yet as I chose COD, he didn't offer PayPal as an option when I ordered online. It's frustrating the hell out of me that I can't get parts I need out of him and that my emails go unanswered.

Looking to paint my Ossa 280 frame and swingarm green.. Have seen the latest 2013 model is green and it looks great. Has anyone any suggestions as to what paint to use..... 2pack, Cellulose, etcetc... Thanks

Trying to decide if I should part out or fix my 12 280i. Broke the seat and can't find a replacement except 13+ which requires new fender and graphics as well. Also broke a pin in the shift shaft which can be fixed reasonably. Would probably have $600+ in fixing. Everything else is in great condition. what do you guys suggest? how much do you think I could recoup in parts?

Hi there, I have 2013 TR That is extremely hard to actually get kicker to move. I I have a 9 V system starts first/ second kick but 5 out of 10 starts I’m stomping on the kick start lever and still can’t get the lever to move. I can put my whole weight on and just bounce me off really worried it’s gonna break is there a reason

At a recent event my bike got knocked over and it bent the crap out of the mounting plate of the side stand. Can someone shoot me a close-up picture of theirs so I know how to bend it back into place? thanks

Been a rumble / whirring on my lads 280 for a few weeks now which has been getting worse so it's time to investigate. Has been a few bigger bits of metal than usual in the last couple of oil changes. First step is to obviously pull the box. Before doing it I have noticed there seems to be a bit of play in the clutch basket. I presume that there should be none??? Would this suggest a knackered bearing ? If not probably main bearings. Anyone priced the tools for taking the crank out?

Hi all I've been restoring my TR77 for 18 months after it sat in bits for 16 years. On completion it had a huge fat blue spark and started brilliantly many many times whilst I was finishing it off. Got it road registered and went for a test ride. After 12 miles of the engine running smooth as... it suddenly stopped. Problem, no spark at all. So, is there a guide anywhere of what to check, what values to expect etc? I My Clymer manual tells me that it is an electronic ignition model, but the new points and condensor I fitted suggests otherwise! Not restoring. Building a resto mod rider. Trying to keep the 73 theme though. In regards to the aluminum parts, I am not 100% certain on what parts get polished. The fenders /mudguards are plastic, so those will not be polished. Currently I have polished the front and rear rims, front and rear hub ignition side cover, lower fork legs. Next will be the brake backing plates, and clutch cover. These items I am not sure about if they need polishing or a brushed type finish. Triple Clamps? Clutch and front brake levers? Lever perches? Sheet metal aluminum chain mud guard? Skidplate? Rear Sprocket? …

Anyone had their TR frame powder coated? Will there be an issue with the heating process affecting the bonded parts? Not too keen on the frame colour of my 12 bike and fancy something a bit different. I assume the factory bikes with the white and green frames have been powder coated but just checking that assembly of the actual frame wasn't done afterwards. Any advice?

Can anyone enlighten me as to the HP output of the Ossa 280i?

I have run 90/1 in my 2011 tr280i and switched to 130/1 with this season being my second.No problems whatsoever.Loaded my gear up this past sunday and didn't take my daughters TY175 because she was away.After a good warmup and a couple of loops i stopped to top up.Ooops....i topped up with the TY's 32/1 premix But ya know what? It ran perfect.Not really any smoking that i could notice.Starting was the usual 1st kick.But it did smell funny because of the Ipone strawberry scent.
