I have a Caswell-lined fibreglass tank and wondering if I should, or need to, remove fuel mix while storing over the winter (Canadian) and if so, should I replace it with something or okay to leave empty. For my street bikes I just top up tank and add a bit of stabilizer. I asked my neighbour who owns a boat and he says it should be fine if it's treated/lined as it protects from ethanol. Thanks in advance.

Recently purchased a 73 MAR and a 72 Pioneer. Will need help refurbishing them. I'd say restoration but neither bike will be brought back to completely original. I'd appreciate contacts to used parts, any pics of authentic bikes, owners manuals and so on. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Tried attaching pics with no luck

Some time ago I had to replace the wheel bearings of my KTM 990. In order to protect the bearing a Nilos-ring is used on the chain side of the wheel of the KTM. That triggered me to investigate the option to do a similar thing for the front wheel bearings of the Ossa TRi. Yesterday I installed a new set of bearings (SKF) and two Nilos-rings (SKF 61905 AV). Fits perfectly and should give additional bearing life. Wil report back in a year or so ( ) Copied from the SKF site: "Designed to keep dirt, dust, debris and other abrasive contaminants out of ball and roller bearings, all-metal NILOS-Rings help extend bearing uptime in the harshest operating environments and i…

Hello, I am looking to do the upcoming Lands end trial on my 75 Ossa Mar. I will have to put lights on the bike for a full MOT. Can anyone help with some sort of simpe Wiring diagram. It currently runs with Motoplat Ignition which gives me 5 wires Black and Blue which are for the coil, But have not much idea which of the other wires to use for which lights. I have a green, red and white wires coming from the stator. Will i have to use some sort of A/C converter to stop the bulbs from blowing. I really don't want to run a battery. Any help would be great. Cheers, Ian

  10. Is this for reducing / increasing clutch pull? I've been having some issues with arm pump during long practice sessions would like to reduce the pull of my clutch a bit as my Ossa's pull is about 2x that of my Sherco. I'm a novice rider and won't be doing any 4th gear splats for some time I imagine... Anyone know anything about this? Seems like a new part.

Just made this today out of a couple of bits of ally bar and an old bike stand I had around for when I finally get round to rebuilding engine.

I just bought the new Explorer. I ride in wet and very muddy terrain. This bike desperately needs a mud flap at the rear to help keep the shock and linkage cleaner, but not sure how to attach one. Has anyone fashioned one yet? Thanks.

My son has inherited an Ossa 250 Mick Andrews (lucky boy!) but it has no compression (got stuck on full revs, so re-bore is likely). Steve Sell is going to sort it for me but I need to get the engine out to take to him. As a newbie to bikes, any advice, things to watch out for, or sources of info would be much appreciated. Are any special tools required? Risk of damage (eg exhaust removal?). I've found the parts diagrams and manual online, but it doesn't cover engine removal. Many thanks.

I can bring my software/interface to the Kingman World Trial if anyone needs to give their OSSA a tune. I don't know my route back up north- so a possibility I could stop by if you live on my route. Mark

  17. Started by Ossa,

Hi just joined so you are probably fed up with the usual requests. I’ve just bought a n Ossa 250 MAR, I need basic information as there’s no manual for it. I would be grateful of any information you can provide 1 ). Petrol to 2 stroke oil ratio. 2). Gearbox oil quantity 3) spark plug and points gaps 4). What should the compression ratio be . Many thanks Steve G.

I broke my clutch lever on my Ossa. Do I need some special type of lever for it? Anyone have a favorite lever they might recommend? Tnx

  19. My weight is 122 lb, sometime I have trouble kick starting my Ossa Explorer...the kick start do not give enough leverage..too short and slippery. Has anybody know replacement kick start from other bike or custom manufacturer that is has longer arm ?..and fit the Ossa kick start stub ?

  20. Started by jagman_swe,

Hi all! Just checking around if anybody has any news about Ossa. The rumour says they have moved into a new "factory (setting up a production line)". However no press releases or info/sign/rumours of a 2016 model is not that promising. They can't afford another no-sell year. /TJ
