I've been wearing Gearne Balance Oiled Boot and have had a couple of crashed that have crushed my foot. The crash that started my foot pain ended with my toes to the dirt and heel to the sky and the bike falling on my heel and crushing my foot into the ground. I'm pretty sure I broke a bone or two in that incident. The other two were simple crush injuries with my foot laying along the ground and bike falling on the side of my foot. Do the Tech T's or any other Trials boot provide any more forefoot protection the Balance? I can't find anyone within a reasonable drive that stock them in Ohio. Thanks, Mark

Hi everyone can you advise what are decent trail boots as my steel toe capped wellies have more holes that a Swiss cheese! Just starting back after 20 years off and the amount of boots out there is frightening! I will be using these for local club trails and a lot of practice; do you only get what you pay for? Is it better taking my hard earned to a show? Thanks

Hello chaps, I'm new to trials and in need of some knee protection. I have quite bad knees for a 21 year old due to previous sports injuries . My question is what kind of knee protection do you think would be suitable, i was thinking moto-cross style trousers with built in knee pads, or just to have trials style trousers but with actual knee pads on top. As i said i'm very new to trials and are still to compete so have little knowledge on to what other riders use. I don't want to go overkill with the pads and loose flexibility, but then again i want to protect them. Any help/links/tips would be greatly appreciated

Hi there everyone, I bought a pair of Hebo Eco 2 boots in June 2012, by October they had fallen apart, 4 months is not acceptable for thier cost in my book, considering what they are suposedly designed for. Has anyone else had this problem? At the moment the dealer does not want to know so I have taken it back to the importer but they are not really interested. If there are others out there with the same problem maybe something will get done about it.

  5. As with the Wulfsport gloves I used these today at Corten in the cold and rain and wished I had bought them years ago. Size fits well too. I got the bottoms at Sports Direct in a sale for £4, usually £10, same as the top but even for £20 the pair great value as they do what say on the tin.

https://www.justgloves.co.uk/Work-Gloves/Assembly-Line-Gloves/Skytec-Basalt-R-Gloves Although not intended for trialling these gloves are very comfortable and give a good grip on the bars. Hardwearing also. This is not a "for sale" post. I have no connection with the link at all. I just happened to come across the gloves at a company that supplies and maintains equipment at roadworks / quarries etc.

Thinking about a new set of boots. Gaerne Balance Oiled or Gaerne Balance Black? About £60 difference. Any preferences or experience? Thanks

Hi, Possibly looking at getting some Hebo boots, but local shop does not hold stock. how do they come up size wise?? I'm an 8 1/2 shoe so would probably look at a 43 My old Sidi boots are an 8 and feel snug when I wear them now. Any experiences of sizing with Hebo?

Hello Guys Due to this awesome summer we are experiencing I feel a raincoat maybe needed... My needs: Lightweight Durable Doesn't Rip easily Comfortable Quite discreet (Black or Blue) Under say £60 Any recommendations? Doesnt have to be trials related however it will be used for a riding jacket, I went to GoOutdoors however I feel the gear is more desired to save weight than to be actually worn. I looked at the Alpinestar gear, it looks good however I have heard it falls to bits, like everything italian. Thanks in advance.

I noticed a Japanese rider wearing boots just like the works riders, with the stitched on sole, so are they the new 2014 boot we can buy. I need a new pair soon (mine are getting a bit tired) and would rather wait for a new version if there is one.

Have picked up some new trials boots this weekend (forma boulder) and went to dig out my trusty dubbin only to find that its nearly empty. I have been using for years a brand known as "active dubbin in a tube" and have found it very good as its a gel type substance whch goes on easy and soaks in a treat now the problem is they have stopped producing it and was wondering has anyone else used a similar product that they can recommend thanks in advance

Hi there. I do a lot of different riding including road racing, trials and pottering around on an old 1969 Triumph Tiger100. I've always used a full race on the road, but I'm trying to work out whether a trials helmet is rated for road use. I'm very rarely over 60mph on the Triumph, but when trailing I'd be surprised if I go over 6mph. What's the view here? How do they rate these trials helmets? Are they ok for road riding? Thanks
